Zabba gone?

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Read a piece where his agent give the club an ultimatum by Zab but doesn't want to leave and wants to stay here until he dies.

The first statement was put out by the Star, the second part by me.
In the words of my Old Man, "Life will never be the same without Man City, so get it in while you can".

I agree with this. That said he's an absolute legend and should have a job waiting for him at City the day he retires, should he want to move back to Manchester.

Seconded.

One of my favourites always. Very tough to see him go, but I think we knew this was going to happen. Very much hope he comes back to the club in the future.

Mase for next England manager?

That wouldnt even have been a decent idea when Zabba was at his yellow cardy defensive midfield best when he first arrived , so...there's that.

Cheers

So a testimonial was to give a retired player a bit to live on. I'm mystified why today's multi millionaires would need that.

He doesn't...the poster just clearly doesn't understand what the intent is of the actual thing itself.

Anyway....

cheers

Might it be so the fans can say a proper goodbye to an undoubted City Legend,Not for a monetary purpose as any money earned could be given to a charity of Zabba's choice.

Yeah but that's a bit idealistic mate. Given that lots of ST holders cant be arsed to turn out for league games what would we do? Arrange a foreign team to come, get a crowd of 15 to 20k and leave everyone with a fairly bad taste in their mouth?

Let him remember it as it was.

It will be a sad day when he walks away for good, but I wish him all the best for the future, and thank him for the past.

I guess this is the new dawn for us !
