Seems a new re labelling of the club has happened over night , new badge and sign at the Etihad , new twitter account etc etc and FC (football club) has been dropped without any consultation with us fans ????
It seems we are just called Manchester City as from yesterday NO LONGER Manchester City FC or MCFC . I and many others are very annoyed and worried at this development .

More to the point - I have an absolutely irrational hatred of the dreaded 'MAN City' - as constantly spoken by the lousier commentary summarises.
So why call the thread that when the whole point is the name 'Manchester City'?

new site is pants, they have known about the launch date for a long time and its rubbish, hate the layout. Also I gave loads of feedback around the EDS and ensuring the MCWFC, EDS, U18s all had league tables on the site, have they listened, no. Why canvas opinion if you just do what you want anyway, I am sure there are many fans who would like to see where are different teams are in the standings over the course of a season.

Looks a lot like most WIX.com sites imo which is disappointing to say the least.

I think this is the biggest reason why I'm upset about this change too. We are Manchester City, MCFC or City imo and those are the only ones I use

mancity.com is online and they'll buy out Paul's domain, I wouldn't worry about that.
A bit weird that the old site is still going in the old template and the old badge after the new one launched. No prior info about the rebranding is a bit unfortunate.
They did listen to feedback re the new site and added a bit of blue, at least.

Cant say I am happy about it either, but its just a matter of time, we are changing identity over time. to a team that is a worldwide force, I think the owners are trying to slowly get away from the Typical City and if that means a complete rebrand, then so be it as long as they deliver at the weekend.

I understand the rebrand but what is the significance or reason for dropping the FC? Can we not be recognised globally as a Football Club.

Is this really about changing the brand or just helping with "branding?" I have a sweatshirt with MCFC on the front, and a track jacket with MCFC on the back I wear around and I think no one here has a clue, other than serious football fans, what that means. Manchester City is also just too long to fit or write out on your computer/tablet/phone.
I don't think MCFC as a label is going to disappear. It still is Manchester City Football Club, no?

The Football Club (FC) has literally disappeared / been removed overnight which is concerning many .

Cheers. I 100% respect that feeling, and would not want that to occur either. I was more asking if the website/Twitter change was more about an easier way to identify the club/brand, rather than eliminate the FC from the name entirely. In other words, the full name is still Manchester City Football Club, but for the purposes of branding/marketing/seatching on the Internet, etc. switch to Man City as a "nick."
