Fuck me, how lucky can you get. First the ref gives it them back and then a wicked reflection to give them a goal.

Not to worry, I'm enjoying our play, it's just the final phase letting us down.

I miss the days when we'd give up goals due to a horribly organized defense instead of this deflection bs

You would think that 2 ex-City players would at least have something good to say but why don't we hear it? BT are setting the narrative for the season, I'd suggest, and whatever we say won't change their minds. We are used as the Moriarty of the mighty Sky/BT 4. Sherlock worked that one out a long time ago.

It's just anti city beyond the ridiculous. Mills also seems to have a boner for Lahm

Now the cunts are saying we should be playing Mansfield etc. not Bayern, Scum, Arsenal.

Saw some encouraging liveliness tonight. But a lot of our youngsters are OK, nothing more.

Lost to a crappy goal and deserved more. Impressed with the intensity we seemed to have pressing high up when we lost the ball. All in all not a bad start.

Should play Shrewsbury or Mansfield apparently though.

have played neck to neck with equally rehashed bayern and only a droll combination of bad luck doomed the result.
only result which counts on preseason is when straffordians are involved.

very glad on what I saw. glimpses of direct passing and organised pressing to come and much promises by kids.

Me too. He looks as if he could turn into a beast of a centre half given the right coaching

Why next season?
I thought himself Angelino and Maffeo did themselves a lot of good out there tonight.
Angelino in particular. It could be telling. Pep could have subbed him but left him on and played him in three different positions and he did well in each.
Pity about the goal but all in all a good workout for these three in particular.

0-1 by a clichy deflection on a shoot assisted by the ref.

Those who see these games as they are should've enjoyed that, even if it was just to see us run out again. Not sure what the Macclesfield thing is about and could only be used to deride us as a club. We all loved those days but things change and that's why the likes of Liverpool were touring Asia while we were still playing the likes of Macclesfield in pre-season. Just remember, the media outlet set the tone, not the commentator.

Anyway, who gives a fuck. First game back, seen a few of the youngsters and have shown a little of what our future play is. We look a little off on the scoring front but I'm sure the transition is more important to PG than getting goals in friendlies.

Is it China next stop?
