FCSB draw - what you need to know

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

FCSB draw - what you need to know

Postby PeterParker » Fri Aug 05, 2016 10:40 am

So, I am glad that City are playing these cunts, I hope they will rip them appart.

Steaua is my local club, the team that I watched and loved since I was a kid, but this will not be Steaua. No matter what you will read, please understand that this will not be Steaua, champions of Europe, But FCSB, or FC Host, Or anything, but not Steaua because they don't have the right to call themselves that after they lost the trial.

They are owned by a religious madman that was in jail, wrote a book in 7 hours (yes) and had his sentence reduced.

Watch on youtube.com

Anyway, this is a long story, but I wanted to make it clear.

About the team and opponent: We need to watch Stancu. That is it. They are poor, but Stancu is something else. After these games he will go. So, no chance, we got the shittiest team in the pot. I am just waiting for the madman owner to come in the media and scream of how he will beat our muslim team.

About the trip
First leg here, it will be in august in a time when a lot of people are coming back to the city after they holiday. At this point, City will come after the Summer Well festival and Rihanna, so it might have a record breaking attendance.

That being said, a beer is 1.5 euros, a decent meal, about 5-6 euros a night in, about 50-60 euros at a decent hotel. Safe as fuck and so on. Problem is that you are not allowed to drink on the streets. Also a plane here is with Tarom 200 euros. Here and Back.

My advice, If you come, take a long trip, go after or before to the seaside or centrel of Country: Transilvania, Sibiu, Brasov, Bran, etc.

PS: You need RON. You can pay in Euro, but not anywhere. 1 euro = about 4.6 - 4.8 lei.

He still is. He retired here. The disappearance act was all bogus.

If only all supporters of Steaua would understand this!

Agree on the fact that Stanciu is their only real footballer. Here's my view on their most likely starting XI

GK - Nita - he's an OK-ish goalkeeper, has trouble coming off his line and is quite weak in aerial duels
RB - Enache - more a right winger, he likes to go forward a lot, leaving space behind him. He's not that great defensively. Sterling playing here would limit his options
CB - Tamas (who played for WBA for a couple of seasons, he's their most reliable defensive player even though he's a bit slow) and Tosca (a lefty CB with only 2 seasons experience, just broke into the first team as Varela was sold this summer)
LB - Momcilovic - not so much to be said about him, also likes to go forward a lot but I expect he won't do it against City
DM - Pintilii (captain, with some european experience) and one of Bourceanu or Achim; all three are technically limited, Pintilii is the only one trying to attack
RW - Popa; think of him like a Romanian Jesus Navas: all speed but no final ball
LW - Hamroun, an algerian player in his second year with Steaua. Extremely gifted, likes to take men on, but rarely tracks back defensively
CM - Stanciu, who is their most gifted player, likes to cut in from the left; he has a great shot from outside the box, a lot of flair, good pace. Chelsea is said to be interested in buying him, and I can see why as he's quite similar to Eden Hazard. I doubt it's more than just rumours though
ST - Golubovic is a new transfer this summer, he works a lot for the team but is not really a striker. He reminds me of Corradi: you know he's on the field, but he rarely stands out or scores.
Roberto Mancini was the man who brought us our first trophy in 35 years. He was the man that brought us our first league title in 44 years. He brought us one of the greatest moments of our lives. He masterminded a 6-1 win at Old Trafford, and a Wembley win over United. He challenged Ferguson, he argued with him on the touchline, he brought success, and he punched the air in delight with the rest of us at the madness of it all. He had style, panache and a winning smile. All those memories he gave us will never be forgotten, in a wonderful period in this club’s long history.
And I swear, we’ll never see anything like it again.

Weird as hell.

This stadium is going to be rebuilt for the Euro, but they sent us there and we have to pay 650 euros. From what I know, the water and floodlights don't work at this time there after the club that owned the ground went bankrupt, so we have to train in the sun, under 31-32 degrees.

What is the name of the ground, and what's the 650 Euro fee for? Seems a bit of a random sum, unless it's a weird municipal thing that there's no getout clause for (like here, where I have to pay a nominal electricity bill for a lift, even though there's never been one in my building, and a gas bill, even though the apartment's been disconnected from the gas mains since the late 1990s).

Giulesti, the stadium where Rapid used to play. At 15 minutes from center. Easy to get there actually.

Well, City cannot train on Ghencea, Steaua”s stadium, because FCSB lost that right and also they cannot train on Dinamo, the main rival stadium. So, they had either Giulesti, or Cotroceni, but this one has also the same problem.

Have no idea why we have to pay 650, according to the official article: http://www.prosport.ro/fotbal-extern/li ... o-15555171

FCSB made a request to Rapid to loan the ground, they said 650 euros and the staff of FCSB passed it along to City. Regarding the floodlights and water, there are not any, Rapid did not pay and the municipality cut it all. I have no idea what they can do.
