You don't envisage Kolarov as being his regular partner then, NB ??

Stones did very well for his debut even though he didn't have a lot to do today, harder days and tougher tests await him.

You've said 'you're going to have to try harder than that' but then in the next post show that it's wound you up. Brilliant work mate!

Reasonable debut, although Mangala looked better on his, so not guessing too much yet.

There were only glimpses today of what Pep is trying to achieve, but you can see how Stones fits in. Hopefully we'll be looking back in 10 years, saying how he's looked a bargain.

I have to say I didn't realise the lad was this good. Early days I know but he looks amazing so far. Really really impressed.

English fucking Pique. Easy peasy.

He'll fuck up and give away a goal with his classy shite but I hope I'm a position to not want him to die when he does it. Really a fantastic player. Quality begets quality.

Cheers

Very impressive so far both defensively and on the ball. Looks like he is taking the step up to a title chasing side in his stride which is very encouraging that we might be able to stop wasting billions on shit centre halves now.

He can do what VK cannot do , and thats pass a ball to a team player over 5 yards.

Im very impressed.

Why did he come off yesterday? I watched the game without sound on, so couldn't hear what the commentators said. It looked like he had problems with his eye. Or was it from that tackle he got earlier in the game?

Looked like he got gauged. It was definitely his eye and not the Adebayor type 'stamp/graze' that the West Ham player did to his leg.
