So basically he's going.

Right decision? Is this other character from Barca better?

I'll be sad to see him go personally. He's saved our bacon a lot of times. He's been here the longest of all the City players. Hoped Pep would at least give him a chance.

We will get fucked on a sale as usual. Shame to see him go. Legend. Can't pass for shit though so was always likely.

Will miss him as well if he leaves, but I think the decision to offload him will be down to attitude as much as footballing ability, which is something very difficult for us to assess from the outside. He won't be the first player to not handle a managerial change well and be shipped out.

I don't think so this time. He is not Nasri, Dzeko or Jovetic.

It has more to do with not fitting our style of play than anything else and plenty of clubs would love to take him, I am sure. Whether they are up to his standards is the larger question.

I'd go and see your GP mate. They should have something that will sort you out.

A shame if Joe has to go, but if we want to challenge Barca and Real and leave the Rags trailing in our wake changes have to be made. Pep knows best.

He isn't in the team today. Not sure why that equates to him being sold to be honest. Maybe Pep wants to give the lad a rocket and this is his way of doing it. Maybe Joe has had a disagreement in training or maybe he has a slight injury.

Either way, until we either sign a proper top notch goalkeeper like Neuer or the lad Ter Stegen, or we publicly announce he is up for sale, then he is still our player. It doesn't look good for him, but he's been dropped before and came back stronger

shame. always enjoyed watching him laugh it up with the opposition after a loss.

In Pep I trust. The sentimental side of me will miss him though.

Just heard an interview with ian cheeseman who reckons a deal for the barca keeper is very close and wouldn't be surprised to see joe gone before the transfer window closes according to people he knows at the club.

Doesn't look good for Joe.

Will be a big loss sentimentally, and a big loss in the changing room.

I'll wish him all the best, great servant to the club. We'd better get a replacement quick though cos big Willy I think doesn't cut it 100%.

I'm with NB on this. I think Joe can get his place back and has the strength of character to do that. I don't necessarily think being dropped means he is out the door. Who will sign him anyway? I'm also not sure the lad from Barca is as good as Joe. He may be able to pass it better but I'm not sure he could match joe's performance against B Dortmund for e.g.

The word I heard was that he is as good as gone with a new keeper very close. Interesting to see a new keeper with the under 18's this morning. Arijanet Muric! 18 years old , tall and thin and plays the sweeper role like Neure ( that German fella)

Has Grimshaw moved up or out? He always struck me as a very modern keeper - possibly over confident with his feet and forgot to do the simple things like catch it, although I was hopeful someone might train that into him
