He is a tall lad and a very good shot stopper which he has shown on many occasions. He also seems to be a good penalty saver and I think has won more than one penalty shoot game out in his time at City.

But would him going out on loan actually slow his development with the way Pep wants his keepers to play? He couldn't really go out on loan to a club in England.

I'm not sure Pep's quite as convinced as that article suggests - he has a backup plan in the form of our other 'keeper purchased from the Spanish league incase we can't mould a homegrown keeper into what we need.

It might do and we will just have to watch and see what happens in the next few months. Seems a bit of damned if you do damned if you don't.

That's quite true as well and he is getting good match practice.

Foreign keeper in a new league with a rough debut? Sounds familiar

Hmmm Found wanting on a cross when he tried to "palm" the ball, resulting in the opposition equaliser.

That's disappointing for him.

I watched some old videos of seasons gone by and he was top quality when he came back from Birmingam for a couple of years, his desire hunger and attitude seemed completely different. Have a look at his saves from the semi against the rags a few years ago. He just never kicked on which is a huge shame. Never improved on the few things that were just letting him down slightly and regressed on the things that made him special, its a pity but its time to move on. Borderline City legend for me but will always have fond memories of him.

I miss that as well...getting down on his knees for his best buddy in front of the City faithful.
