Pep's Outcasts

So after today's CL squad announcement we have a pretty clear picture of who is on the way out. Leads me to the question, how much do people reckon we will get and do you see the money being re-invested before the end of the window.

Likely outs:

Hart - £20-25 million
Denayer - Loan / £10-15 million if we sell
Mangala - £10-20 million (if we are luck)
Yaya - Free (but wages off the books)
Nasri - £10-15 million
Bony - £15-25 million

So, if we are lucky £65-100 million in the bank.

Likely ins:

Claudio Bravo - £15-20 million
Ante Coric - £10 million

Could leave about 30-70 million in the coffers to spend. What does everyone think? Agree or think i'm talking bollocks, what we everyone like to see happen before the end of the window.

How much of Hart's transfer fee would be headed to Shrewsbury?

I'd be surprised if nasri and bony don't go east for peanuts.

Is it possible we've spent before selling though and won't splash much more? Beena strange window overall for me.

If we are going down that route I would have thought Hart was nearer 30M, Bravo is 40m euros isn't he? Denayer I don't see why it would be more than 5M. Mangala is young and marketable - more likely higher than that. Yaya and Nasri next to nothing. Bony - there's got to be a mug out there somewhere.

I don't think pots and coffers come into it any more - it's all about annualisation.

I also think there might be another name who would be a surprise to see leave. We have seen one curveball with Joe not playing and it wouldn't surprise me to see Pep throw another one before August is out. Kompany maybe? Dare I say Silva?

Can't see either to be honest. 2 captains in one go!

Kompany will have a very low value as everyone has seen him break down umpteeen times, so the only option is to get him fit - or retire.

We all know the squad needs freshening up and this lot should all go, Navas would not be on the CL list if Sane was fit.
Another issue who is going to pay Yayas wages? He may not be toddling off that easily.

200/250k a week off the wage bill would make a very big difference

Silva was very good Saturday, no way will he be going anywhere.
Vinny though, that's debatable.

Both Sané and Navas are on the list?

Why? Are we going broke again? Is Swales resurrected? Is Anti-City FFP resurrected?

No, neither. Still a good player if he can make it back.

Pep's City almost sounds like Pepsi.

Yes and with others heading out Navas is still here. Didn't he win the match on Saturday in effect? Looks a bit like a Pep player to me - if only Pep can get the end product we have a world beater!!

Does signing a new contract automatically negate previous sell on clauses?

Vinny though, that's debatable.

He was indeed and has been arguably our greatest ever player.

But with KDB, Sane, Sterling, Aguero, Nolito, Iheanacho and Jesus to come in January who will all compete for "attacking " roles, we may cash in now. I hope not and am not advocating it, but all I am saying is it wouldn't surprise me after the weekend

Navas yes, Sane not on the list released this morning.

Balague suggests Bravo is not a done deal because of Ter Stegen's injury. Luis Enrique wants both to stay. We might have to pay the reserve price and might not want to do so.

I don't think so.

In this case i don't think there is a sell on clause, i think Shrewsbury got a straight up 700k payment. Joe arrived in the days when sell ons were not as common.

10 MILLION QUID A YEAR.

Sorry to shout it, but thats a hell of a lot of dosh, and despite what your comment suggests, we aren't a charity. If i was a manager of any results driven enterprise with 5% of my salary costs permanently unavailable, my first thought would be for what i could achieve if those resources were being spent on useable resources.

If you dont think thats crossed either Pellegrinis or Guardiola's minds, you are deluded. The only restriction is finding a mug who would pay his wages (other than us)....that sentence alone should ring all the alarm bells you need to hear about keeping him.
