There's still a lot of moaning on the board sometimes I think we do it uneccessarily. Re transfer targets described as too expensive it's not my money so for me who cares? New squad members " look shit" when they have been there a few weeks if that or "wait till they play a decent side" what's that mean? We'll see on the day but. I think we're doing well with new formations and tactics what I'm seeing is effort by everyone, some players reborn like sterling and kolarov. I remember well frank Clarke as our manager and us playing in the second division now my team is becoming a world class one so why don't you join me in being a happy blue.

In life if you settle you don't grow.
I don't think people in general are unhappy now are they? My read of the current mood is positive with the odd question mark on one big issue (hart) and a few minor ones in the long run.
I got this sort of response this morning for saying nolito had a bad start to the game. He'd given it away 4 times so it was true, but I didn't say waste of money, didn't bemoan him signing just that he'd been poor 15 mins in. Could I have left it unsaid? Sure, but the board gets awful quiet if all simply say I'm happy and stop posting.
Tracking back is overrated.

Bet you thought different at the end of the game.

Sure did, a fact I mentioned in the thread too. I'm excited for nolito, my initial thoughts were he'd chip in with goals and help take a little bit of load of kun. They'll all have a bad game here an there tho and it will get discussed. This didn't end up being it tho. Some lovely football once he got going.

Fuck me some folk are easy pleased after just 2 games versus shit teams !!! Yes our passing and movement is on another level to last season and the effort from the players is exceptional BUT .......
We desperately need another top class striker , Aguero simply cannot carry the workload on his own ! Some much tougher games looming in the not too distant future plus the beer in the Etihad is still shite so fuck to getting too carried away just yet !
Not really here

and the chips are terrible and I hate the new introducer "little Manford" and the half time entertainment (!) is crap
It may be my last year as a season ticket holder as it just doesn't seem the same with so few English and local players (but I said that last year)

We can't. The deal is he goes back to his club and joins us in January.

He's not as quick as Navas. But he has a vague idea where the goal is. Which is after all why they are there.

We don't need another striker, all our midfielders can and will score, and I'm a very happy blue.

I don't think we'll buy one as Pep will be happy to go with all our other scoring options, which will increase due to our style of play (and we have Aladdin, Ian and Jesus to come into the team).

This is what I meant. There are also Patrick Roberts, Enes Ünal, David Faupala and the rest of the EDS and Academy forwards playing for City or out on loan for Pep to choose from over the coming years.

Don't worry about it . We desperately need another top class striker to share the workload with Aguero . Jesus arrives in January and May need time to fit in and adjust before he hits the ground running , Kelechi is still learning and improving . If Aguero gets injured anytime soon we are fucked and his injury record isn't great . Coming up and throwing EDS names at it is just daft , Roberts is doing well in a terrible Scottish league the rest are miles behind Kelechi . To win trophies on all fronts we need every position covered two fold with top quality not hopefuls !

Well I'm not convinced that Pep needs an out-and out-striker for his system to work as his system is adaptable and goals will come from the attacking midfield players, of which we have an abundance. We also have an abundance of young talent, albeit not all available at the moment (unless the loan terms allow early release), from which Pep could select and hopefully will over the next few years as Aguero's contract runs down and Iheanacho learns his trade.
Of course Pep may decide that none are suitable and sells them but I guess we just have to trust him not to let another Suarez go.

I think this is the riight approach, last season when we had injuries we paid for it two for each position seems about right. And if edf players were good enough they would have played last season if we did play anyone they would be slagged off on this site double quick unless thy were outstanding.
