Good to see sterling nice and relaxed.

And fingering himself on the bench.

I think it takes a lot of confidence to finger yourself in public.

It has to be good for his confidence on the pitch.

It his hard to finger yourself. I thought it was easy but it wasn't. To be able to to it regularly, at this level, is impressive.

To be honest a nil nil will do the job of getting us into the group stages.

As would a 4-0 defeat as it goes.

Really poor, although I don't know what we were expecting really.
Steau are not interested in going for it and we look like we just want to get this formality out of the way.
Would have liked to see some of the fringe players try to stake a claim to a place in the squad but nobody is shining.

Agree about Fernando. He is never going to be of the quality we require. He is honest and industrious but the reason he is always under pressure is because he is always flat footed. His weight is always on the wrong foot when receiving s pass that should be easy to control, which makes him have to shift, let it run by him and lose s second or too. It just doesn't come natural to him. And he can't pass.
Other than that he's fine.

This game requires sterling. My bet is technically still live.

agree re: Fernando, he is not a Pep player ... I can't fault him for effort or desire, I think it would take a massive transformation for him to fit into the system even as a backup.

re: boring ... players definitely look more isolated receiving the ball up top .. .Steau isn't here to get another 5 scored on them, they're sitting back. Yes we have to learn how to break that down, but in reality we are up 5 nil with no chance of losing this.

Silva and sterling make us so much more dynamic in attack, that's no surprise to anyone. Navas is not a creator, Yaya looks like he's focusing more on running than playing the game and nolito needs players operating around him. Fernando isn't a driving force in the least and Nacho isn't going to grab a game by the scruff of its neck yet.

All in all, I'm very encouraged by Maffeo, I'd love to see Angelino and Adarabioyo make appearances, and i'll take the result.

Yaya clearly does not give a flying fuck to prove anyhing at this point.

I am really curious who is going to buy him.

That's the first decent thing Delph has done. Navas has been poor

Delph - no football brain, tries to damn hard to impress
Yaya - Not enough movement to open up for pass
Fern - weak link, Not enough movement to open up for pass
