Which 5 clubs were top of the premier league at Christmas but never champions?
and a special request to nottsblue - please resist the temptation to look this up on the quiz site at least for a couple of days:)

Is this never champions ever or just that year?
If it's never, then Liverpool should be in there.
Edit: I actually realised how stupid my question was.
So...
Liverpool
Leeds
Newcastle
Tottenham
Everton?

i'm pretty sure we're in there somewhere ; that season we had undersoil heating and no-one else could play for about 3 weeks 'cos everywhere else was frozen off ; around 81/82 I think. Toon are another.

Okay, I think it's never champions ever. Also Premier League, so not 81/82.

Norwich?
Your right leg I like; I've got nothing against your right leg. The trouble is neither have you.

Leeds and Liverpool are given.
I'd also put money on Villa and Newcastle and will plump for Spurs for the last spot.

Swap Norwich for Spuds I'd reckon. Think Tokyo may be right. Have a vague recollection of them being top the year Blackburn won it.

As they've all been named, and JC hasn't responded, I did a little research...
Norwich 1992
Newcastle 1995, 2001
Liverpool 1996, 2008, 2013
Aston Villa 1998
Leeds 1999

I think we were third. Which to be fair seemed like we were at the top during those dark days!

Of course. I'm guessing our slide commenced in December.

I find that strangely reassuring NT.
If there's anyone who knows less about football than Robbie Savage, I think we've all yet to meet him.

Who is the only manager in the top two divisions of English football to have a full cap for England?
Quite shocking statistic I thought to be honest
