More or less according to Shearer and to Sunday Supplement panel too. Including Neil Cuntstis - although Shrek should've had a penalty etc etc

Heard Chris Sutton describe us as the most attacking team he'd seen in the PL yesterday (and that was before the game). People seem to be catching on.

Pass pass pass pass, make them dizzy - goal

This will be the same format all season .

It was great to see we didn't field a team of reserves given we have the Chumps league on Tursday. Always pissed me off that. I don't know if it was the best 40 mins but it was the classiest for me. I thought we were fucking brilliant technically.

The general consensus within the press is that the first 40 minutes yesterday was something unseen before in the Premier League.
In the Premier League era, we are constantly reminded of the great Fergie sides of the late 90s or Arsenal's Invincibles in 2004. For me personally the football we played in 2012 and 2014 was phenomenal, but you get the feeling we are now building something which is going to remembered for years to come by fans of all teams and in countries all around the world.

Pretty much the consensus on Bein Sports in the middle east.
They were waxing lyrical about the speed we won the ball back, the passing out from the back which left 3 united players stranded and allowed us to walk through the midfield almost unopposed.
Will be interesting to see what the opposition managers do now. As in previous seasons with Mancini and Pellegrini, we took the league by surprise until around November, by which time it was like every manager had sussed how to play 'the system' and we stalled for a month or two in our title seasons. I expect that will be where guardiola really earns his money, as this city side dont enjoy the player superiority over the rest of the league that he enjoyed in Spain and Germany

I think Gary Neville on Sky said pretty much the same.

Quite surprised by the match report in The Sunday World (Irish edition).
John Brennan telling it straight. We played them off the park and gave United a football lesson. He thought Silva and Kev's movement was something Blind and Bailly just couldn't live with.
Also the Moran & McGrath piece was positively purring over City's performance.
Both of them are exUnited players, but the consensus was that Kev and Dave were absolutely brilliant.
Kev got MOTM but they singled Silva out as pure class. They figured he was the one who really broke United hearts.
Not once did I read any excuses of penalties not given or anything like that. It just reported what we saw. One team laying beautiful football and the other resorting to the kind of football that The Rags say is not part of their heritage.
It was quite refreshing for a change.

Any chance you can you post a link to that, please IWT? Should be a refreshing read!

I'll see what I can do. The wife actually bought the paper. She brings it up to her Dad who isn't very well and doesn't get out.
I'll have a look online, because the Moran & McGrath piece in particular was good to read.
Always liked Our Paul.

My best 45 minutes was the first half away to tottingham a couple of seasons ago....I think it was 5-1 or two.
Hanson described us as the "best team on the planet" on motd that night.

I preferred the second half v West Ham last season, if I am being honest. We were terrific.
Also, the second half of the Sick Swan was quite decent as well.

As they get more used to Pep's system (and fitness demands) we're able to do it for longer - I'd like to see us do two 35 minute bursts of it at the start of each half - if we can eventually do that, no one in the league will be able to live with us.

Had a look at their online version today and it was as depressing as all the rest of the media. It had the back page Mourinho moaning Rag Rage piece.
There were a few match reports and a reference to what was inside from Brennan and the McGrath piece, but I couldn't find a link to it.
I think you would have to subscribe to see that and there's no way I'm subscribing to that rag. It just shows you what everyone says on here is true.
Even though the actual paper had two decent articles, as I said in my original post, the click bait on the online version was the usual rubbish pandering to a United audience.
