Mind you Beefy, the media will probably try to claim that the postponement badly and adversely affected BMG.

They'll claim it wasn't that we played well, they just performed unbelievably badly because of the rain.

On a more general note, I hope that UEFA feel like King Canute trying to stop the tide.

I know there was only around 30k at the game, which is quite respectable I would say considering the circumstances.
I thought the atmosphere came across really well though. It was even remarked about in the commentary.

The atmosphere sounded amazing tonight and like you said with the ground just over half full. Should be electric for the Celtic and Barça games

I'll be there for those 2 fixtures. Got to be a full house surely?

Proper rain mate, Germans are well used to that. No excuses, we smashed them.

Reminded me of those old style European nights where there's only one team. This time though, the pundits support the other European team.

C4 aren't that bad.

Sadly it was booed but hopefully those that did will listen to Pep and not do it anymore. It really isn't needed or clever in any way.

Funny, because fans of Barca seem to be following us.

Boo the anthem AND give Pep the atmosphere he's wanting.
Pep is successful because he micromanages as many variables in his favour as possible, his request about the booing (in my opinion) is an attempt to get a state of mind in the crowd from first whistle to last kick of the game that the players can feed off (and that the opposition feels intimidated by).
He's trying to rebuild 'fortress Etihad'.

I hope he does but the fans who did turn up tonight were in super form. Think he should have saluted the ones who were around they were in great voice.

I respect Pep and I'm glad he's here but he has to respect the fans wish to boo whatever they deem right to boo - and we have every right to boo the fucking national anthem of the corrupt CL .

I'd say even more so since the fucking wankers are tailer making the new format for the old elite!!

I do agree that the fans should make more noise once the game starts till it finishes though.

I agree entirely - I will mentally stop booing UEFA when we're treated fairly as a club and IF they start showing fans more respect (like they should have refunded travelling Blues who were punished by their decision to impose a stadium ban on our opposition after travel arrangements had already been made).

I like to think our stance is not only about City being treated fairly though.I'm totally disillusioned with football over the last few years, still love City but so much is wrong with the way the game is being run and we don't even know the half of it.
