Quite simply, we've got no width.

As has already been noted, we need more fucking width. Silva or Gundogan off.

width and an inverted midfield triangle should do the trick.

I think Nolito.

Either/Or, they both give us that dimension that stretches the play. At the moment they're being afforded the luxury of closing the middle and not allowing our creative players to get in.

Don't quite understand the switch. Nolito is out, replace with Navas, not Gunga din. He's okay but the whole is wrong

Love to be a fly on the wall in the dressing room at half time. Pep will be extremely displeased with that half I should imagine. Sloppy, poor choice of final ball, no width and poor first touches. An early goal should settle those nerves. It's not a bad thing to have this happen as Pep will not underestimate sides again

We've played asymmetrically before, but we used the fullback for width. We don't seem to be doing that this time.

Agreed.

not just about putting as many of the "best" players on the pitch as you can. its all about how all the pieces fit together and thus far, based only on this showing, the quartet of Sterling/Silva/Kevin/Ilkay doesnt work.
I'm not really a City fan. I'm just here for attention.

Hope so. But the longer it goes the more galvanised they become. Don't think we will panic and a point away in the PL is no bad thing. You can't win them all
