The second round of the season and my first chance to watch. Last season, City tried to mock the Pellegrini style. This year, they are copying Pep's. 2-0 up at half time, Tim Cahill with a freak goal and it's all just sooooo good to watch.

And just like that it's 4-1. Brandan. And there's still 25 to go!

FT 4-1. So noticeable how the style matches Pep's. Looking forward to this season.

Happy for you dazzer but I still think this CFG stuff is complete nonsense. I guess it makes sense from accounting/marketing point of view but I just simply don't have any interest in these Melbourne or NYC teams...

Although I don't watch too many games I do have an interest in it. From my pov we are using these teams to give a direct link for supporters back to City. By having a local team, and showing a major team (us), it fast tracks the overseas support.
Great marketing ploy and also breathes life into the noneto supported leagues.

I've definitely got an interest in nycfc but there games are always on while I'm at works I hardly ever get to watch a full game. Watch their goals and keep up with their progress though. I was over there and fell in love with the place right before the team started which helped.
Melbourne city isn't my local team so won't get my support. I'm Brisbane roar and you don't swap teams so that's that.

I came back to Australia last year after a long stay in Dubai and it coincided with Melbourne City's first season under new ownership so it was a godsend gift for me as until then I wasn't committed to any Aussie side. So It was a no brainer to support Melbourne City. I also follow NYFC when I can as their matches are shown here during daytime and MLS can be very interesting at times.
Great result yesterday and good to see they are not missing Mooy much who was the heart of the team last season. Great goal by Cahill. Good to see him play for us and not against us !!
