After the weekend's results for both it's kind of become a MUST NOT LOSE for both teams (and managers) ... only issue is it's a cup tie so can't be drawn else both would probably have taken a draw as a loss would dent the confidence further ... but a win on the other hand can really kickstart the season for the respective winner ... so it's kind of a MUST WIN really now ... only question is who is it more important for (and who will take it that way?)

Nothing new, but Pep said its not serious. A bang to the calf and will be assessed before the Derby. Yes, it is the least looked forward to game for me. I want to see the kids playing. West Brom is a much bigger game for me and I don't want any more injuries. Chance to see Maffeo again hopefully.

Ordinarily a league cup tie would be treated as last priority and as such a lot of changes could be expected.

But this is a Derby and as such, goes up in priority. I expect to see a very strong side from both teams. It will mean more to Mourinho than Pep i feel as he is under a fair bit of pressure and a further defeat will see more knives sharpened

Pep seems more inclined to play his youngsters while Jose is feeling lots of pressure. can see them playing a virtually full strength 11, despite having to play at the weekend, and Pep being a little more level-headed and rotating and playing some academy products. what that means for the match i dunno, but it doesnt look good on paper.

How bad will it be for us if we lose?

I want to avoid the farce of our fa cup exit last season. some kids but mostly first teamers please.

Can't see us fielding even close to a full strength side. Just doesn't feel like it matters even though obviously it does.

Willy in goal, Vinnie and the Otter. Can't see Maffeo or Angelino for this one. Kevin to be rested, Navas to play. Maybe Silva to get a rest but who knows.I would like to see Garcia start

Personally I don't give a damn what the media think, but Pepe shouldn't make the same mistake as MP in sending out a team packed full of youngsters.

VK is a prime candidate to start and I'd also play other senior players needing match practice or a return to form.

Dead right, but a few youngsters would be ok.

What I would go with:

Gunn ( precautionary move, don't want to hurt our Willy before Barca )

Maffeo
Clichy
Otter
Tosin ( perhaps Kompany instead if he's fit enough )

Garcia
Fernando
Silva ( would like to rest him but don't see an alternative if Kev's crocked )

Sanè
Nolito
Iheanacho
