41 years a go next month My first game at Maine Road Nov 12th my Birthday ! we had a League cup game v the Scum we won 4-0 Colin Bell the greatest ever City player IMHO was carried off never to be the same. Beating the red shit should be made clear to the players and Pep. I have never had the time of day for the fookers ever since. Any down-grading of a game against the twats by our own should be a banning offence.

I was there and remember it well. Martin Buchan was the offender. I remember hoping and praying Bell would return to the team. But when eventually he did it was clear he would never be the same majestic figure ever again. Sad.

Imagine their embarassment when they've got no food left for the press lounge!

Jose is looking increasingly like the 'Can't be Arsed One'.
If I was him (did I really just type that?), I would pack the team with kids and tell them all out attack. Lose, and it's just the kids, and the 'Nited way blah blah, win and he is a tactical genius, strong academy, 'Nited way blah blah. He won't though.
2-1 to the blues.

I was in the open air between the North Stand and The Kippax, A goal after 1 minute an a 20 a side fight every 2 mins, as you say mahem I was 10 and my Old man RIP a red fooked off fooked me off and we never saw eye to eye again on Football, As for Buchan a top player by the way, only he knows if he did The King... Hooked on the Blues to the delight of my uncle who had won a battle with my old man on my Team, back to Bonsall St to silence and not a fooking chance of watching Sportsnight with Harry C AND THE HIGHLIGHTS... Haha

Its a must win game for us, we havent won in 5 so regardless of opposition we need to win to get back on track. Also we cant have the rags still being in this cup and potentially winning it as it could kickstart Mourinhos reign, it was his first trophy at chelsea too so them being out of it should be reason enough for us so for me its a full strength team and smash into them early. A heavy loss for them could be huge in terms of mourinho the fans and the media.

The way were playing, I cant see us inflicting 'heavy losses' on anyone at the moment, hopefully I am wrong.

My old man is a rag but he was happy taking me to the games, until that one. For what it's worth I thought Buchan meant to do him.

Hazy, I was 13 years old and remember watching it on television that night. I was devastated when Colin went off. I also distinctly remember thinking,
we were doomed and will be beaten. What a night it turned out to be, although little did I know that we would never see Colin back at his best.
Robbed of what would have been mature but probably most influential years.
Was my favourite player.
Right that's it, let do them for Colin.
