This is a game that I think we should win but with our form up and down since our successive wins, it's not a guarantee.

What are your thoughts?

Any away game in the PL is a tough one in my book. Coupled with coming after an International break is also not ideal. But, games like Palace away are the ones in which champions usually win. They have lost four on the spin so are hardly in fine fettle themselves. I would be disappointed not to win the game and I have a feeling we will. Going to sound like Lawro but I predict 2-0

Well, last year we beat them 10-1 over 3 games and since they came back up in 2013 they've beat us once in 7 games (2-1 at theirs), a game where they had only 24% possession. They've conceded 17, scored 4.

Who's the ref btw?

I'm thinking the same, especially with Palaces form.

Robert Madley is the ref. Did the first game of the season against BlackCats where we win 2-1. Thought he was fairly crap myself, but when don't I think that.

You don't want to know.

But I'll tell you anyway, Madley.

Still not forgiven him for the cup game against Scouse 2 last Jan, that said his overall record reffing us isn't too bad....

I seem to remember him ref'ing our first loss last season to West Ham and he was fucking dire, letting them get away with murder and allowing some serious time wasting. Does has he's told.

That's what I like to see, straight to the point.

Fly back at 3 o'clock so won't get the score until we land at around 7. Let's hope the match thread does me in the taxi back home.

From the presser I'm guessing:
Jonny Bravo
Sagna Stones Kolarov Clichy
Fern 2
Navas Silva KDB Nolito
Aguero
The dippers put 4 past these and they are in poor form. I hope we don't have one eye on BM. I'm looking forward to it as it will show us where we are at. Just glad proper football is back.

I like that team, a lot. As for the BM game, it us a key game that we need something from. Not a win mind, so a little bit of pressure off.

Prefer Sterling ahead of Navas but maybe he is earmarked for CL

A lot would prefer anybody but Navas but I just like the way he tracks back for the 90.

I also like Navas, especially his work ethic away from home. But I feel Sterling is much more the aggressive forward player in the opposition half. Generally, when Sterling plays well, the team seems to click better somehow

Sterling above Navas.....of course. But His Pepness may want to rest Razza. That's my guess. I'm thinking Otter and Gundo will be rested too.
