But He Is Great With Ball at His Feet

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

I'm pretty sure most people allowed for the fact that it will take a bit of time for full implementation of this system.

I think we'll reap the benefits of it over the coming years.

The vast majority seem to feel the same.

Maybe bravo will turn out to be the wrong option but I'm fucked if I'd judge him when there's so much new shit going on.

There'll always be a dark cloud or two on here.

I was always told to keep away from these people.
I do it wonderfully in real life :)

Could prove to be Pep's biggest mistake.
Along with freezing Yaya out for so long.
I know he has to show he is in charge, but what a waste of talent that has been needed recently.

Can someone please help me out here.

What specifically did he do wrong today? or what didn't he do right?

Genuine questions.

Total utter bollocks. Just watch the goal on video and you will see that, for the fucking millionth time, Fernandinho fails to stop a midfield runner leading to a goal. Or rather, you wont see because you'll be too busy repeating mantras about Kolarov, one of our best players again, and a goalie who caught everything they threw at him and made a point blank save.

He got beat on his near post.
He did reasonably well besides that but it was a poor effort.
The point blank save looked great, but when you see areplay it would have been harder to get out of the way of it.

I know it's early days yet, but he has been worse than average so far for us.

Oh, I thought this thread was going to be about Bravo hoofing the ball up to our towering forwards.

But it's just a bunch of jerks moaning about conceding a goal.

He doesn't hoof the ball forward very often. Why would it be about that?

As Pep said in his post-match interview:

"We didn't play brilliant, in the way we want to play, but we adapt in the way we should play here."

I guess part of that was allowing the defence to hoof it.

Maybe Pep is getting used to the English game!

Doesn't the topic say "He is great with ball"?

Come on now people. Credit where it's due but in terms of goalkeeping Bravo has been shite. End of.

If you take away the whole playing it out from the back, I don't think there's much between Bravo and Willy.

Hart wasn't fancied by the manager. I'm guessing he was reluctant to change his style which would've been drilled into him since he was a kid.

I love Joe but in my opinion he's shit himself refused to change and let us down. Thats his decision. we now have Bravo let's get behind him

Correct.

And actually when this was posted game was 1-1. But that is besides the point. He hasn't stopped anything from going in.

If he was some youngster I would give him benefit of doubt. But he is 33 and was brought in because he was apparently ready made for Pep's system and keeping goal. Which he isn't doing. Maybe there's something wrong with connections to Dublin though because all dubliners seems persistent that he is somehow anything vut complete disaster.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

I think his catching is a lot better than Willy's. Made a number of good catches yesterday that took the pressure off.

Didn't he stop Benteke's header yesterday? Or did that that only happen on Dublin connections?

No one has said he has been great but don't think he is been a disaster. Dropped a clanger at swamp and brain fart away to barce don't think any other goals been directly down to him. What keeper would you have signed instead that was available as a matter of interest ? Hart could not have played ball out with this system and had a massive weakness in getting down low to his left which was exposed time after time. Was a great servant to the club but it's sounds like people were down on Bravo because he replaced hart as much as anything he had done wrong. That's not aimed at NQDP
