Selling blunders

Postby dazby » Sat Nov 26, 2016 10:48 am

Can you think of any players in the past 20 years that we've sold when we shouldn't have?

I THINK we've done pretty well during this period and any players we moved on we always had a reason to do so.

Nigel de Jong maybe?

Poor Nigel, when he played for AC Milan he was a shadow he used to be at City, definitively!
From Torino, Italia to Manchester, Lancashire this City is always our City!

The way it feels at the moment, we could have found a use for Edin.

Peter Barnes and Gary Owen.

Why stop at 20 years?

Because I'm sure and it's been often debated our errors in the 80's and early 90's.

Distin, was sorry to see him go. I don't know did we even get good wedge for him?

I reckon some will disagree but I was sorry to see Sibierski go as well

de Jong wasn't as good as everyone makes him out to be.

We shouldn't have sold Trippier. Or at least put something in to take him back.

de Jong had a year left on his contract and didn't want to sign an extension.

Gary Flitcroft to Blackburn

When we sold him our midfield went to shit and the clubs problems spiralled and we got relegated that year

Didn't sell, he left to go to the bigger club.

Of all the names mentioned so far, the decent ones left because they wanted to, not because we wanted them to

Didn't he run down his contact and fucked off for a big day day when Portsmouth were spending ridiculous money.

There hasn't been anyone mentioned who we sold because the club actually wanted rid.

Dzeko maybe.
