Hello, I will visit City at18th december when they play against Arsenal together with my daughter. She will have her 16th birthday (day after tomorrow) and her dream is to visit an English football match. So I chose City! Great team and great coach. Easy.

I'm looking for a place (pub) where fans gather sunday 18th december for the match. Can you give any suggestions??
And do you have other suggestions to visit while we were in Manchester??

We were looking forward to come!

ps we both are fans of PSV Eindhoven. Our home city.

Greetings,

Patrick

I havent been but the football museum in Manchester City centre supposed to be good.

http://www.nationalfootballmuseum.com/

City Square for an hour or two in lead up to game is your best bet, dont go the pubs, there will be some entertainment on stage, places to buy some beer, the club shop and a good atmosphere, its just outside the ground so perfect location.

Enjoy!
derby day the scores were level,
then the goat was fed by neville,
silly boy should know for sure,
feed the goat and he will score!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Museum of Industry and Science is definitely worth a visit (free entrance). And when you're in that part of town anyway, I recommend visiting the Castlefield area and walk along the canals there. The Wharf is a good pub for a meal and a pint.

If you and your daughter are in to more high brow stuff, a good (half a) day out is taking the buss to Gallery of Costume and check that out, then walk back towards town, stopping off at Withworth Art Gallery. And why not a curry on Curry Mile?

A stadium tour at the Etihad is also great fun. The football museum in the city centre is often recommended, but I thought it was quite underwhelming when I visited.

One of my favourite "sites" is the John Rylands library. Walking in there feels like stepping into a Harry Potter film.

In ieder geval, heel veel plezier!

I hope you and your daughter enjoy the trip and the game. Should be a good game as Arsenal like to play rather than park the bus. Good choice!

He's fantastic!! last saturday he was allowed to start for the first time this season (as left winger) and played 90 minutes, had 2 assists. Great performance!
He is 19 but "brutal", great left foot, plays and thinks always with "forward focus", can play different posities (winger, just behind the striker, midfield), plays sometimes little bit risky but thats the way we want to play football in Holland and thats why you missed us last EK ;) Anyway, at this moment the national sport tv broadcast a short item/interview with Zinchenko. They were at the Herdgang today (trainingcenter of PSV). The fans like the way he plays. He is really good.
But also Unal, the City boy who plays for FC Twente this season and is also doing very well. He s the topscorer with 9 goals in the Eredivisie.

We have no chance to contract these talents, unfortunately, just hiring....

Very true....although some years ago. In 2007 Alfonso Alves scored 7 goals for SC Heerenveen against Heracles. They won the game with 9-0. He broke the record of Cruijff and van Basten. In 2008 Alves went to Middlesbrough.
