City v Celtic Tues

The 'take your mind off Saturday' thread

Well I guess Aguero and Fernandinho are guaranteed a place. Otherwise I reckon it's time for the 'try out the rest of the squad' routine?

Still shaking my head about Saturday, not even thought about this one. Would like us to tonk Celtic but can see them playing their cup final again against our B Team.
In the words of my Old Man, "Life will never be the same without Man City, so get it in while you can".

Yes it's time to put that behind us. Fern 1 is suspended but no point taking any risks with Sterling etc. We are second regardless of the result. A couple of kids in the team and some attacking intent would do me. I'll get there as early as poss as there are extra ticket checks.

For once I would go with the kids too. No value in this game for us except pride. Need to be fresh for Leicester.

After that debacle Saturday last thing we need is a meaningless game like this.
Hope we see plenty of the young ones.

I have a spare ticket for this game for anyone who fancies it. Colin Bell stand I think and just £20.

Just seen 20 odd Celtic fans in Cheadle, is the start on the invasion. I have gut feeling we will thousands in the middle tiers.

Anyone else not really fussed who we pick v Celtic. We are through so we are unlikely to go all out as we may then pick up further injuries or suspensions.

Of course i shall watch it but it wont be the same as the previous matches. Like to see Maffeo and Garcia and Iheanacho start as a minimum

And Angus and Tosin, aside from that I'm not fussed.

Tosin should play alongside Maffeo and maybe even Angelino but 3 of them is pushing it a bit I especially as i would like Gunn to play as well.

Garcia should play in midfield and Kelechi up front. A team something like:
Willie
Maffeo,Stones,Tosin, Clichy
Fernando,Garcia
Sane,KDB,Sterlig
Kelechi

and Roberts to play for Celtic

I'm worried about Sterling, he's one yellow away from a ban. Should've got himself fouled in the box against the Munchies and took the yellow for the dive.

A tweet from the BBC's Simon Stone saying Sterling is absent from training today.

If Sterling is still an injury concern then I say go for it and play Brahim Diaz (asuming he is allowed to play in the CL.)
