Really think Foden has to be given a chance in the first team this season.
It would be a statement and would lift the fans so much.
If we need fresh players for three games a week, why not put him on at 3-0 up in the last 15 minutes rather than Bernardo or Gundo.
Not every game obviously, but he should be integrated totally into the first team set up.
I’ve always been impressed with him anytime I’ve seen him, more so than Diaz or Sancho, as he seems to have experience beyond his years in comparison.

There was some stuffy old cnut in the studio after the match trying to take credit for the improved results by the youngsters recently by saying the FA facility at St. George's Park was the answer - rather than being honest and saying it's down to club academies such as ours and Chelsea's (and one or two others).

Golden Ball winner for player of the tournament. And well done Pep for letting him go (even though it would have been nice to see him against Wolves in the first team).

in the squad or not vs arsenal, he needs to be given a hero's welcome home next weekend. not often a club can show their appreciation for a local lad who's won the world cup and picked up player of the tournament.

Should be on the bench v Arsenal. Whether or not Pep has any intention of playing him is not important. The fact that he acknowledges the achievements of Foden, and the other City Academy under 17 players as it happens, by putting him in a match day squad would be an immense boost to all concerned at the Academy.

He's not ready for the bench or the PL team yet, just too young and he looks it. Will only turn 18 next May!

he'll take Yaya's squad spot next season. not positionally--just the spot.
I'm not really a City fan. I'm just here for attention.

wasn't he on the bench for the first couple of league games this season?!
what he looks like shouldn't come into it. he's just been recognised as the best 17 year old in the world.

That's a compelling postulation NT; I wouldn't like trying to refute it.

Which is why I suggested that whether he played or not was not important. The mere fact that if he was on the bench would be more advantageous to the club as a whole. Did Pardoe not make his debut at 15? Different era I know but he would have been up against some right cloggers back then.
