Surely we would get a development fee for him like we did with Sturridge or Burnley with Danny Ings?

Fuck all though mate. Pisses me off how it's been left to run down this far when we were signing shit like Lopes up to make sure he couldn't leave on a free.

Reckon we'd get £5m for him easy. Maybe we have offered him a deal and he doesn't want to sign it for whatever reason and he's like Sturridge in that he wants silly money for his age and experience? If so then let him go. Sends a message to the other lads that there's no room for greedy fuckers who think they've made it when they haven't.

Of course, I could be doing him a disservice and he really wants to stay and would accept the terms offered as I'm sure they are generous for a lad of his age, but he has been tapped up by someone who has offered first team football and that's the reason he wants out. His choice.

he's probably realised that our place is a graveyard for centrehalves and can't wait to get out of there.....

Or playing in front of twats like you is not for him.

How scum headlines can be misleading. Man United want to add to Antoine Griezmann signing with second striker deal this summer, from a red top.

Not a rumour as such, but a loan move for David Villa like what we had for Lampard would seem to me to make sense

Good call NB.

I quite like that and if he didn't set the League alight, it won't have cost us so much, relatively speaking, anyway.

I could be totally wrong........but I was hoping we would be looking for better players than this.

He started his career as a striker and is now a defensive midfielder so he's adapted his game to a more defensive role and is well over 6ft tall, so yes I would say he definitely can play in goal.

Yes its very very hard in January but are we going to bring anyone in this window. Theres been nothing to get excited about so far

Bravo
Clichy
Ottamendi
Kolarov

All need replacing ASAP and even if we tried to replace just one of them this window. That would be something.

Watch on youtube.com

Yangel Herrera from Venezuela
Manchester City have made a ‘formal offer’ for once-capped Venezuela holding midfielder Yangel Herrera, according to El Nacional and Ovacion Deportes in his homeland.

Manchester City y Benfica estarían interesados en fichar a Yangel Herrera (@OvacionVE) http://bit.ly/2kuhpUo
10:25 PM - 25 Jan 2017

The 19-year-old, who can also operate as a central defender, plays his club football for Atlético Venezuela and has been impressing for his country at the 2017 South American Youth Football Championship, which has alerted scouts of several European clubs.

Benfica, known for their ability to identify and recruit great young talents from South America, are the other team known to want Herrera, but it is Manchester City via the City Football Group who have made the only official offer to date.

Given the involvement of the CFG, it’s possible he could end up at New York City FC or another club within the network, but as he is rated as one of Venezuela’s most promising young players, it may be Manchester City who see him as a potential future first-team player.

Sounds like he will have a promising career at NAC Breda and Girona before eventually being loaned out to Italian club for 24months (while we pay his wages) after which his contract runs down with City.

Super excited!

Yeh I have to say they were kind of my thoughts. That and why are we feeling the need to buy as it pretty much says the players in the academy aren't going to be good enough either.
