Had a poor season last year and clearly won't get into the team this season.

He has to prove himself again it seems, needs consistent playing time which he won't at Bayern, and other bigger clubs only wanted him with an option to buy.

Remember, Clement was Ancelotti's assistant for years as well, so that factors in as well, clearly.
