Well, now you’ve stipulated what the potential is it makes sense. Every player on the planet has potential to improve, but he’ll do well to improve on what he did last season. .

If Haaland was the same player as last season then some pundits and lots of us City fans wouldn't be giving him a hard time this season would we !

Hes getting it in the ear because hes become a lazy bastard and if its not down to him being lazy then its a attitude thing with him, a cocky ' give me the ball or I'm not looking for it " attitude , at least that's how it looks - how can you not see that he doesn't put the effort in when hes not in the penalty area ? how many times does he track back and retrieve the ball like he did last year ? where is the hunger he had last year ?

He is the best paid player at City and probably the premier league as well so I for one EXPECT the guy to put a shift in in EVERY game he plays and I wont forgive him for missing goals in key games like Arsenal at the far post and then a shit header that should have gone in or at worst hit the target- hes fucking paid to win us games.

We need to win every single game as we are literally 4 points behind Liverpool ( their goal difference is worth a point ) to stand any chance.

I largely agree with that, but I would add that what you say applies to all our players given that most of them earn in a week what I earn in a decade. I think Haaland is suffering from being snubbed in the Ballon D’Or for the nostalgia vote for Messi a disgusting anti football miscarriage of justice…he should have walked it. Dropped to the bench tonight, he certainly needs to up his game for the remainder otherwise I fear he’ll be warming the bench rather more than he would anticipate.

Portugal forward Joao Felix says international team-mate and Manchester City midfielder Bernardo Silva, 29, wants to move to Barcelona. (Gerard Romero)

Sam Lee said a few weeks ago that Gundo regrets going to Barca and wishes he’d stayed at City. Bernardo’s Mrs wants to go Barcelona and he’ll end up there.

£50m in full - not in £5m here and there. They probably still haven’t paid the Ferran fee in full yet.

Doesn’t need one. Bernardo’s Mrs has been vocal about wanting to move.

Where was that, mate?

I have seen film of Bernardo himself saying his plan is to go back to Benfica.

Sam fucking Lee, Jesus wept.

Bloody hell mate. If you don’t think Bernardo’s Mrs has been the one forcing him to move there’s something wrong

Sam Lee hasn’t said anything about Bernardo or his Mrs though..

Yan Couto had this to say when asked about the reported transfer interest him from Real Madrid.

He said: “Playing for Madrid is an option if they are interested, I’m not going to lie. I’m a Manchester City player, I have a contract there and it’s my dream to play for City.”

Get him back in the summer. Him and Walker can share the games next season. Move Rico into midfield.

The last two or three transfer windows have been largely a disaster and weakened us. You'd have to be optimistic looking ahead to the summer that outgoings and incoming can't be as horrendous.

McAtee on the bench today again. Weird how both McAtee and Palmer said they’d like to go on loan, but it was only Palmer that was told he’d be sold if he wanted to go.

I can only assume that Pep felt let down massively with Palmer, or that he had a stinking attitude. Maybe a bit of both.

McAtee’s season is a bit of a waste. Bobb definitely above him in the pecking order now, and I’d dare say that even though he’s played less, Bobb has developed more for us and the way we play.

Agree re McAtee now clearly being behind Bobb and woyld be surprised if he comes back to stay with us. Did hear that over the summer he had a couple of training sessions at scouse but came back and said Klopp was a weirdo - this was from his old fella which was a bit of a surprise

I think we’ll sell McAtee with a buy back, which is a shame. Would love to have seen what he could do here but I think he should have stayed instead of asking to go back to Sheff United. Another year learning under Foden, Kev etc. Saying that, I’d still put him above Nunes in the pecking order

Our transfers need to be ramped up. Tonight is the last time we will play Madrid without Mbape. Adding to Bellingham V Jr. they have ramped up.

Fair point Hazy. I do believe Bellingham had a late change of mind and that we had rhought we'd get him with Paqueta as a Plan B. Plenty seem to be linked to the Girona left back who RM also have a buy-back on so its going to be a big summer window where we need to get things done early due also to the Euros

If we spend £85m on Paqueta it will show we’ve learnt nothing from Nunes and Phillips.

£85m is mind blowing for such an average player

Agree entirely. No way we should be spending that much on this kid. Go all out and get the kid from Leverkusen if we are looking to spend that kind of dosh

We could value Nunes at 70 million in part ex :D

Listen, if we're in for him at 85 mill then either the Rags will stump up 95 mill or Chavski at 110 mill on an eight year contract.

How the he'll could mcatee, contracted at city, train with one of our fierce rivals? Lol

Agree re paqueta. Lots of neutral mates raving about him but I'd be underwhelmed esp with that fee. Better than kalvin and nunes but not kev/gundog levels..
