Our transfer window opens 1st July and closes 31st August

try again:
When does the transfer window open?

The 2017 summer transfer window opens on Friday, June 9 for English clubs.
The transfer window in France also opens on June 9, while the Germany and Italy windows open on July 1.
The windows in Ligue 1, Bundesliga, Serie A and La Liga all close on the same day as the Premier League window on Thursday, August 31.

The season closes at the end of June. So new contracts (and signings) officially start on July 1st.

According to many outlets now....too many for it not to be true ????...Id imagine he has agreed but it all depends now on whether Arsenal agree.

Ive had plenty of time today as im chilling by the pool to go through other club forums. Seems scum fans really want to try and cut in on this deal as they see it as something that they need to stop. More so than any other signing, they seem to feel it would be a disaster for every other team if we get him. Hes good but im not sure hes going to have such an impact as they do. Either way its funny to watch them shit themselves lol.

He would be for us what Van Persie was for them. A player at his peak who could win us the league. Sane and sterling are excellent players but sanchez is on another level. Though is it prudent to take away game time from Sane for someone who probably has 2-3 years at his peak?

It's prudent to sign someone who can put the ball in the net mate. That's the point.

Have to say, Sanchez is an extremely excting signing for us. He is on another level and as John says above he can put the ball in the net. Absolute monster of a player.

There are a couple of issues like ruining football (it does seem like cheating in football manager) and his blocking the paths of some young uns but meh, we would win the league with him in our team.

The Sanchez rumours won't go away. Not against signing him, he is a smashing player. Just prefer if we concentrated on sorting our defensive priorities first.
Or maybe we're the plan is to win every game 7-6.

Bellerin on his way to Barca

That's a shame, if true, I thought he was coming our way. Arsene will be mortified.

Bayern sign Serge Gnabry so they're out of the running to get Alexis. If he makes it clear he wants out City will get him at a high transfer fee for a one year contract and at a very high wage. Next step Arsenal getting a decent signing like Mahrez to make up for his loss. We may have to be patient.

i saw the same headline but im struggling to see the causality.

presumably they wanted Alexis because he's a world class player who could help get them to the CL final again and win it.
signing Gnabry as a perennial backup hardly achieves that. plus, by all accounts, Douglas Costa is gone this summer leaving them the aging, injury-prone Robben and Ribery; out-of-favor Muller and Sanches (not really a winger); and Coman.

rumor is they're almost certainly getting Goretzka but he's another CM--not a winger.
so again, I dont see how getting Gnabry has any effect on their pursuit of Sanchez. maybe it does though. i just can't connect the dots.
I'm not really a City fan. I'm just here for attention.

Some deeply interesting and highly detailed technical analysis there chaps, so thanks for that. :)

At the end of the day, at £31million - or merely one third of a Pogba - he can't be much cop; after all, he'll only be required to assist in parking the bus and not much more.

Grimaldo, Benfica left back being linked with us again as Pep's first choice. This lad has been continuously injured for three years with an ACL followed this season by chronic groin strains caused by osteitis pubis, missing 32 games. Can't be serious surely.
