For what it's worth Mendy is 12 to one on to join us. Fabinho's odds have also tightened in our favour. 11/10 now with the rags drifting to 6/1 against.

Sorry lads, fake news, he hasn't anything like that on his official Insta or twitter....

That pic is real, it's on his Instagram. You need to click his profile pic. It's an Instagram story or whatever they call it. So it only stays up for 24 hours. It's already been there for 4.

Yeah but there's a later short video on his twitter page joking that Manchester has changed and people should chill. Clearly a touch of the Micahs about him. He'll join ok but it might take a few days. Ederson may be first after the Portuguese Cup Final tonight.

Having checked his "story"(circled picture) it's a picture of a plane and then a video of him in Paris..... Nowhere near Manchester.....

If Mendy's coming here then I hope he's a better footballer than photographer - that's a shit photo.

The man in Portugal, Bruno Andrade, says Ederson will sign this week. Reserve clause is 60 million euros. We're getting him, he says, for 40 million. Obviously a lot of money for a goalkeeper.

Sky sources of course say 45 million pounds. I don't think we'll get him for 20 to be honest. He's one of the very best of his generation.

it seems you are distinctly below average at both assessing averages and recognising numbers.

A bit early days to utilise such data one would think. We will have purchased 3 top level starters, 2 in positions of high need.

I don't see a problem with this at all. Bernardo I think will turn out to be a steal.

Benfica fans say he's the best keeper they've ever seen. So I think he'll be a little bit better. Plus if he's not, he has ~10 years to improve...

Also - Ederson has quite the leg on him .Check out this assist:

His long passing is reportedly unmatched, globally, and a is considered top shot stopper, allegedly particularly unusually adept at stopping shots with all parts of his body. He's not the tallest, so I am gathering this will bother some (I believe a bit over 6 foot):

(I'd put the music on mute)
Watch on youtube.com

CityWatch's scouting report from February rated signing him an 8.5 out of 10:

http://www.mcfcwatch.com/2017/02/04/cit ... s-benfica/

Ederson has ascertained an average rating of 7.03 at WhoScored, compared to Bravo’s… 6.39. No further words need to be said here.

Ederson makes 2.42 saves per game, compared to Bravo’s 1.44, David De Gea’s 1.81 and Thibaut Courtois’ 1.52.

Ederson’s average distribution length is 31m, compared to Bravo’s 25m. However, compared to De Gea (36m), Courtois (45m) and Mignolet (42m), Ederson shows much more awareness for going short. Though his distribution length on average is less than Bravo’s, it may be argued the great many passes Bravo makes to his centre backs weighs his stat down, and the fact Ederson’s stat is similar would give Pep hope Ederson could adept to the passing game for which Bravo was bought.
