What's he said?

he's staying at Juve

ffs just don't.

Juventus confirm Dani Alves will leave the club as Chelsea and Manchester City circle

Juventus have confirmed the departure of full-back Dani Alves, who is now expected to move to the Premier League.

The Serie A champions' chief executive, Giuseppe Marotta, said he wished the Brazilian "every luck" with the future.

A reunion with former Barcelona manager Pep Guardiola at Manchester City is most likely but Chelsea are also keen on the 34-year-old, who enjoyed an excellent season in 2016/17.

“It is not failure, motivation is important for a player,” Marotta said when asked about Alves's desire to leave.

“Dani Alves has made you want to try an alternative experience, we will make a consensual resolution, and we wish him every luck.

Alves cannot be the only right back purchase this window. There may be - I hope there is- a back up to Walker but Alves isn't it.

I think you've just changed my mind about him CFTG, actually the Wankers done that himself. Is it a recent interview/statement because if it is he can do one.

2014 mate .

'I didn't realise until about five years ago that Manchester had two teams.
'Of course Manchester United have been one of the most famous and successful clubs in Europe for many years - but I thought they were the only one.'
'When Manchester City got new owners and started buying some of the best players in Europe everybody knew who they were - but until then I must be honest I didn't know about them.'

Those words are likely to be repeated to him if and when he does join Manchester City, but they are certainly not the only comments that may come back to haunt him.
In the same interview, the outspoken Brazilian also suggested he did not agree with the way City were spending their way to the top.
He continued: 'I think this is the reality of modern football. You don't need 10 or 20 years to establish yourself - if you have rich owners you can do it in two or three years.

Granted - I got this from the Bean comic but a quote is a quote no matter where its from.

I have the same gripe with Walkers comments..slagging us fans off in the past.....I dont forget certain players who slag us off and now some of these want to join us.

It irks me.

Don't see any problem with what he said.

It was 3 years ago. He did not disrespect us, he said he knew about the Rags and not about us - whats wrong with that?
A bit like an English fan (say 10 years ago) saying they knew about Real Madrid but not about Athletico.

Also, he gave an opinion, sounds like you all want PC comments from footballers - how boring is that.

What do you expect ffs?

Why do footballers, especially gypos like Alves talk about other clubs that aren't even in the same league as them? Just get on with playing football and chat about your own team. What have City got to do with him?

"But he was probably asked a direct question about City"

That's fine. Just say "Why are you asking me about them? I play for Barca".

Footballers will be asked about football matters, not just their clubs. They are entitled to give an opinion.

Didn't see much wrong with what he said either.
Before the take over we were largely unknown in Europe for a long long while, so it's no surprise he wasn't aware of us. And at that time our scum neighbors were successful, so he was merely stating a fact without bigging them up or belittling us.

He also didn't say it was wrong or bad to spend dough and quickly build a strong team. He just said that football has changed and that it was now possible. The derogatory part is outside the quote and added by the writer.

They also have to accept when fans of other clubs have opinions on them following their interview. Like people have done on this forum..

Dani Alves probably knew about us long before he claims he did, but he was taking the piss.
Reports say he is a well-known dressing room "joker".

Either way, it's a dumb and irresponsible thing to say. He will not have my respect and many others' if he signs for us, even if he does a Lampard on us. You don't go around making such statements, even in purported ignorance.

It's the ultimate insult.

It was before our game against them that's why he was being asked. He was being a dick, mind games some call it.

As soon as I knew it was 2014 thought it'd be when we played them, usual sound bite belittling the opposition, thanks for confirming FIB...

I don't see the point of getting worked up and writing a played off before he's even kicked a ball for us because of something he sort of said three years ago about something he didn't know eight years ago. And all of it taken out of context.

Someone's dug that article up just to shit stir. Why give them the satisfaction of letting it get under your skin?

In this world there are fans like me who get worked up and I make sure that the source knows about it...or at least I voice it on a PF.
Then there are fans like you who dont care who takes the piss out of City and you just shrug it off.....good for you...Im not like you.

I care a fuckign lot what a player we are about to sign has said about my team in the past....Alves is, and always will be, a Barca man and 99.9% of those cunts that play for that team are exactly that..cunts .

I dont like him and I don't like Walker and I dont like anyone else that has slagged off our team in the past and then the next day they want to play for us and want us all to forget what they said about us.

So that's that then , Ill just carry on not liking the cunt till further notice if that's alright with you.
