Wow. Didnt know his Serie A stats were that bad.
Is he constantly under pressure because his defense is poor?

Torino's squad is not that bad actually, they are a top 8 team if you look at the players. Against the big ones like Napoli, Juve, Milan and Roma he conceided 14 goals, and this happend only from the start of 2017.

I would not say he is constant underpressure, but in the last 12 games he had only 2 clean sheets.

Let's all have an Isco - I think we'd be better off with a Bernardo actually ;)

Seems like we have been signing him forever!

To be honest i cant see him getting a game these days, his ship has sailed....would love to see him end up in the championship or something!

Mixed feelings about this but, at nearly 25, he should be approaching his prime and we could get his best years from him...........and Pep does like his midfielders.

I prefer being linked with names like Isco rather than Nzonzi!

Fuck Isco. Had the chance to join us and didn't. I'll never warm to Delph because he chose Villa over City back in the day.

Isco can go fuck himself.

isco would make a great backup for de bruyne, but he won't join us to sit on the bench so it's a moot point.

Isco is not what we need. Rather we concentrate on what we actually need. Defenders about 3 of them and a keeper.

thats my thinking. he's probably a replacement for Silva in 2 seasons or so but if he hates the lack of playing time at Real he's not gonna like it here either. Pep seems settled on this system and lineup. yes we need better bench options but i doubt the club will spend big money on them.

and Fern and Gundogan aren't even fitting into this midfield right now (yes i know the latter is injured)

Speaking of Isco.

All went quiet with him, Munian and de Gea after that rape scandal last summer.

Isco is a class player. In my eyes Nzonzi isn't.

Yes he's snubbed us etc.......doesn't stop him being a good player.

I think the squad needs an Nzonzi more than an isco right now. Or at least an Nzonzi type of player. Basically we need to replace Yaya in the role he is currently playing. A player with a similar physique to yaya, powerful and can sit in front of the defence who can play it simple but capable of pinging 40 - 60 yard passes also capable of breaking up play and strong in the tackle. Isco a very good player of course but not a priority in terms of the position he plays.

Totally agree with everything you've said there Spurge, we really do need to replace Yaya soon, I just feel there are better players out there than Nzonzi, I have just never rated him.

He's unfashionable having played at Blackburn and Stoke before playing at Sevilla where he's actually done very well. I think the bigger turn off for me is that by all accounts he has a bit of an ego/attitude which could upset the apple cart - something that rightly doesn't fit with the culture at city.

How about a years extension for Yaya if we haven't got a replacement yet. He has been superb in his less cavalier role.

Interesting call P.

Personally, I'd quite like to see him given such an extension, provided that both he and we are realistic as to how he would be used and his legs don't get turned into jelly by him being overplayed.

He could certainly fulfill an important and perhaps vital part in the big games which we will have to face next season, although he might have to accept spending more time on the bench on other occasions. He would though, allow us to direct this summer's spending where it's most needed and it could also 'buy' us another year for some of our aspiring Academy youngsters to 'come through' in midfield.

So, all in all, for me it's a definite 'Yes'.
