Postby City64 » Tue Dec 13, 2016 8:26 pm

Thought it would make a good old lets get it all off our chest sort of debate if we all turned our attentions to Watford at home Weds night and the right mess we are in right now . I am for one truly dreading tomorrow nights game and haven't been this so unenthusiastic in a long long time .

Discuss ladies and gents .......

I'm not confident.
Anything out of it is a bonus at the moment.
Finding it hard to get worked up. Like a few on here have stated, I'm still sickened by what is obvious to our eyes regarding football in general.
Like Beefy has said I to believe it's time to circle the wagons and dig in.
I'd like to see it from the team first. They have to show some pride. Some fight.

Not confident though.

I don't feel too emotional about it all really. It's pretty clear we are not good enough to win anything but it's not like the old relegation days. Ultimately this result won't really matter. I will be there though tomorrow and just hope to see some entertains footie. What I do dread is watching this aimless possession football where we don't create anything, until Stones gives it to the oppo in front of our goal. I accept we are not good enough but the football is truly awful at times.

Same here , it could get very ugly in the Etihad tomorrow night if we put in another inept performance and Pep gets it totally wrong again . He will play the same system he wont change not a chance . We haven't won in the last 4 home PL games which again is not good enough .

Desperate for three points tomorrow and wouldn't a clean sheet be most welcome, if we could somehow manage that.

Previously, when I've been so nervous about a game, I've said that any old, scrappy 1-0 win would suffice as far as I was concerned but, in this instance against a background of what has been happening recently, I feel there needs to be a few signs of progressive and constructive football on offer, to give grounds for a little bit of future optimism.

A smooth and comfortable 2-0 victory would go down very nicely, thank you very much.

However..............

I have a feeling things could be worse after the Arsenal game. You might need an extra Stella before that one!
Coutinho is saying he will be fit for the dippers game too. We just have to stick with them until the squad is sorted.

How is Guardiola going to handle the 2 matches in 5 days? Cant say Arsenal is a bigger match now. Gotta beat Watford.
How does he handle the team selection/rotation especially without 2 players?...

Please no back 3 though. Cant see a clean sheet either

I hope we treat it as just another game to be honest. The more it gets hyped up the more on edge the team becomes. We just need to relax a bit and we will start to play the football we are capable of. Is it coincidence we have won more games on the road?

The crowd tomorrow can do us a big favour just by getting behind the boys for the ninety minutes, whatever the result

Are we getting relegated!!!

Listening to Blue Tuesday on the way home and some of the callers dialing in you would think so , one clown saying Pep is the biggest disaster ever to happen to the club!

At least one Blue had a rant and told everybody to give their heads a wobble.

People need to get a grip.

I had totally forgotten about this game when planning my work schedule for the week and will be on the train to Manchester from London at kick off; therefore we will win.

Too many mistakes happening and too many square pegs in round holes for the home crowd to get too excited about . Pep shouts and waves his arms about but it gets worse on the pitch , again fuck all to do with the crowd as they are as perplexed as some of the players ................... yes its that bad !

We're very unpredictable. Most are fearing the worst. I would love a dirty scrappy 1-0 all day long.
