We should have backed Mancini.

Ironic, that we wasted 3 seasons, undermining 2 managers in the process to get Guardiola and look like missing out on top 4 at his first time of asking. Even though his Spanish handlers new he was coming 3 years ago. Now we look likely to write of this season as a transitional season, and probably next season also because we need a massive over haul because of gross incompetence at the very top.

Mancini they said was too authotarian ,he had to go because he upset one or two of the soft arse players. Yet Guardiola got rid of Hart before stepping through the door at City, fucking ironic isn’t it ?. They also undermined all his signings in his last season with us. They couldn’t have him signing the top players that he wanted, and turning City in to a long lasting success, so they bought him Dog shit players, instead of World Class players.Mancini would have undermined their plan to get Guardiola through the Door. So we lost our best ever manager because he was cynically, and very deliberately undermined the season prior to his sacking by the Spanish mafia

They then go out and get their yes man Pellegrini, even that was never about City, it was all about getting the right man to keep a seat warm. Even so Pellegrini didn’t do to bad. considering he was undermined right from the begininng by the Spanish pricks, who let it be known to the World media he was out the door regardless, it was classless treatment, Still he carried on in a dignified manner and held his Head up high. I am convinced his record at City will end up being better than Guardiola.

So now the Messiah is here. The Golden Goose that will lay us many Golden Eggs. With this year looking like a transitional one, and his sycophants already pencilling next season as one also, he won’t have much time left before heading in to the wilderness. Remember we have already waited 3 years for this. This is why we spent millions on the academy, it was all geared to Guardiola arriving. Our academy was going to produce top players off a production line. Look at the signings we have made during the 3 year wait, we knew he was coming, there is no excuse, most are shocking, they are not even Guardiola type players. I mean seriously WTF ?

If that is not bad enough, he is determined to keep trying to bash square pegs in round holes. Dare I say it he has looked at times clueless; out of ideas yesterday substitutions were shocking. So far I have been under whelmed by him. I was led to believe his preparation was meticulous, he wouldn’t tolerate slackers. We look so lazy and unfit it is shocking. Shouldn’t a manager of his supposed calibre be able to work with what he has at his disposal ? Try and get the best out of what he has to work with until he can get replacements in for them.

What is the point in drilling a system in to players that are unable to adapt. And who in all probability will be gone over the next couple of transfer windows, Shouldn’t it be evolution instead of revolution ?. He is not working in the best interests of the team, his arrogance is detrimental.

Will he even stay if we miss out on top 4 this season ?,even though it will be his fucking fault, for insisting we play in a manner that costs us goals against, week in week out. Interesting Stat I saw yesterday we have conceded a goal "6 FUCKING TIMES THIS SEASON FROM OPPSTION FIRST SHOT AT CITY GOAL". Was replacing Hart in the best interests of City at this embryonic stage of our development under Guardiola ?.How many goals have we scored playing out directly from the back ?,I know we have conceded plenty.

Mancini wanted to get rid of one or two soft arsed players, Yet we chose to sack our best manager ever. It is well known he wanted the fifth column gone, He was after Sanchez who ironically we are looking at again now. We would have dominated for years to come. Instead we ripped up the project brought in the Spanish Mafia, UEFA must be laughing their bollocks off at our hierarchy incompetence. I am convinced this Spanish project will end in tears. Arsenal have been at it for 15 years, we take the piss at their pass, pass, pass game 60 passes + to score a goal. whilst other teams just lob the ball over the top to score in 2,3 moves, beautiful football has mostly won them fuck all in England. This isn’t Spain. It is an experiment that looks doomed from the off to me.You just dont get the time on the Ball in England to make this style succesful long term.Might be the warm climate in Spain, players play at a slower pace. Here in England it is too competetive.Whats the point dominating possesion every game to lose half of the games ?.

Mancini was heading in the right direction, intra-club politics aside, but that boat has well and truly sailed now.

Pep is one arrogant cunt for sure and I am finding it very hard to like the cunt . Not all he is cracked up to be aswell and agree he looks absolutely clueless on several occasions already this season . WE DO HAVE TO GIVE THE CUNT TIME THOUGH and it will get worse before it gets better , how worse is the big question right now for many of us . How on earth did it get this bad so quickly under Pep is what most of never ever saw coming .......... proper fucked off isn't the word !!!

Can make an argument for both sides so I think I'll stay firmly on the fence and give our new guy some time.

That said I'm really not enjoying watching this team at the moment so he'd better make some drastic improvements quickly.

Hindsight is great isn't it.

We didn't and we moved on. Whether we would have done better with Mancini than Pellegrini is a moot point. Time will prove if Peps reign is a success or not. And it will have had little bearing on a decision to sack a manager three years previously.

Yeah, wonder why he's not a top club manager anymore. Must be that every other club are made up of fools.

the only valid point here is that the spafia have completely fucked up the squad with their criminal transfer policy.
we had an amazing foundation to build from and we've wasted it.
sad fucking times.

No No No No No.

Mancini settled down the 1st team and had 1 good season but the academy was a joke with his sons getting contracts and his mate the EDS manager with Platt advising parents not to bring their kids to city.

He hasn't exactly set the world on fire since he left

From that, I took that we should have kept Mancini; should have kept Hart, who Mancini wanted rid of; teams do better playing a long ball into the box and; despite only being half way through a season, we're going to miss out on top 4. The rest was nonsense.

But good effort

You don't rate soriano.

It's weird.

I agree that txiki needs a big kick in the arse though.

With ffp all but dead and our revenue, we can fix our transfers so it's not worth losing sleep over.

But do you honestly believe the transfer situation will improve with Txiki still there?

This is one of my main concerns. I think Soriano has done a great job but Txiki is Soriano's man, so we are stuck with him. I'm struggling to see how our transfers will improve as Txiki's record so far has been very poor.

If by Spafia we are talking about Txiki and co then I agree. Considering his job is to put together quality team and considering the resources available (and spent) he has more or less failed. Our best players were here before he arrived.

Loved Mancini to death and he certainly knew how to organise a defence at the very least but, as you say JL, that boat has now well and truly sailed.

Looking back in fondness is all well and good, but we're in a different time today.

Much of what zabba has written is thought provoking but ultimately bollocks. With one exception...the buys. Our problem has been too much money. We always get suckered for ordinary players because the Spafia are spending someone elses money. We have spent £120 million on cb's, 17 million on a joke keeper and 30 mill on a holding midfielder who cant tackle. I was watching Spurs today, Lloris, their 2 cbs and Dier came for about £50 mill in total. Their two fullbacks were home grown and a City cast off. They are ahead of us. Oh, Kane is home grown, Ali cost £5 million. If I was the Shiek I'd be thinking someone was sliding a crafty hand up my fucking dishdasha
