MATCH FACTS

Head-to-head

Manchester City are unbeaten in their last seven matches against Everton and have won on two of their last three visits to Goodison Park.

Three of Everton's last five goals against City in the Premier League have been scored by Romelu Lukaku.

City missed two penalties against Everton in October, with both spot kicks conceded by Phil Jagielka and saved by Maarten Stekelenburg.

Everton

They have lost just one of their last five league matches, having previously endured a run of one win in 10 games.

Everton's only league defeat in their last 13 home matches was against Liverpool on 19 December (W7, D5).

Since Romelu Lukaku's debut for Everton in September 2013, only Sergio Aguero (77) and Harry Kane (59) have scored more Premier League goals than the Belgian's tally of 54.

Lukaku has scored 11 of Everton's 28 league goals this season, or 39%.

Manchester City

Pep Guardiola's side have suffered three league defeats in seven matches, which is as many as they had lost in their previous 24.

They have kept just four clean sheets in the league this season - seven fewer than leaders Chelsea.

Manchester City are the only team to have had more than 50% ball possession in all 20 of their Premier League fixtures this season.

Yaya Toure has been directly involved in six goals in nine previous appearances against Everton in the league: three goals and three assists.

Got a bad feeling about this one, this weekend in general. I can see us standing still and either Liverpool and the others cementing the gap between us and 4th place or, even worse, United winning and drawing level with us. And then it's Spurs next weekend...

Would gladly take a scrappy 0-1, although with our defence the way it is that'd more likely be 1-2.

Hoping Bravo won't be between the sticks, flapping or being lobbed.

Brilliant. Sky Sports have got a reporter travelling with one of City's OSC to Everton and they've just done a piece from the pub pre-travel. Asking an older Blue about the so-called Rag V Dipper Derby and he says that he doesn't understand it, it's not a Derby, and that if you ask any Manc Rag, not those from Scotland or darn sarf, then there's only one Derby, us.

Amazed that Sky kept him on so long, referring to them as 'Those across the way', he couldn't bring himself to even mention their name.

Good man.

We've had a decent record there of late, only losing to them in the first leg of the semi last season. 2 wins and 1 draw in the PL over the last 3 seasons, I'm hoping we can keep our unbeaten record going.

Nothing's a given in an away game, especially at a club like Everton, but I take a little bit of confidence from our recent form since reverting back to a back 4.

Gotta respect Everton though, they're no pushover.

It's vital we get the three points today, no matter how we achieve it and irrespective of the scoreline.

It would be highly ironic though if we won 1-0 with a hotly disputed penalty that all the gathered 'experts' were outraged about. I think I could quite happily live with that.

Come on City, let's show everyone this afternoon how a proper team plays football.

It's funny... we say that a lot, yet I can't remember the last time dodgy officiating won us a game.

I can tell you four instances of this for the rags.

Their last four games.

I'm expecting some particularly dodgy reffing today as we can go 6 points clear of the scum and really put the pressure on for its Derby game later. Still think we'll have enough, 1-2.

Looks like we're starting with same formation as last time out against the Hammers.

So is it a competition between Barry and Zabba as to who is the slowest!

If our forward players find their rhythm we win the game

No Kompany, not even on the bench. Hope Sane gets some minutes.
