Where Was The Fanfare?

A young Brazilian international, led his club team to the title, where was the big fanfare from the media. Did he not deserve one?

I just didn't get it. I'd have thought there'd have been a major tribute to such a young Brazilian number 1 forward joining the PL.

Why has every outlet seen it as just another player coming to the PL? I just don't get it.

I'm actually he didn't get it. It would just put unnecessary pressure on him and now Hopefully the league won't know what hit 'em

I do like the fact that we tried to keep it under wraos, keep him wrapped up and the media followed suit.

When Kun made his debut, I just said, 'Jackpot'. This lad gives me the same feeling.

Maybe City wanted it as quiet as possible. Under the radar is better than shouting from the rooftops. Rashford was instantly lorded as the best young player ever and now he struggles to get a start. That might be good management by Jose in the end it can't be right to go OTT like so often happens at the swamp with the almost inevitable disappointment that follows.

+1

But no worries about Rashford, United have their next academy product arriving over the summer in Griezmann.

I think the club have played it well but like a few have mentioned, if GJ was going to any of the Rag clubs then they'd be having a wankfest, regardless of the clubs stance.

Let the Rags and the media have all the wankfests they desire - I don't care.
Rashford, Memphis, Martial, Jizzinyoureye, Machieda............

We have the real deal * 3 - Jesus, Sane and Sterling and by all accounts a couple of real gems in the academy.
They will be grabbing all the headlines in the near future.

To be fair, the day after West Ham most of the papers were purring about his performance. The new Messi tag and all the pressure that goes with it can stay with Rashford

And after Shrek broke the goal scoring record, the first thing that was saud was Rashford can break it. More pressure on him
