Favourite player when we were shit

It's very nice to decide whether we prefer Jesus or Aguero, but we're not really here. If it wasn't for a day at Wembley in 99 we probably wouldn't be where we are now. But going back to the days where the highlight of a Saturday afternoon wasn't the football on display but the banter between the Kippax and the North Stand, who was your favourite player when we were shit? There are some obvious ones like Kinky, the Goat, Tiatto, Nicky Weaver, Benarbia but for me Kennedy was a favourite. I always felt that when he had the ball something would happen, and he ran his socks off.

Kinkladze, Benarbia, Mpenza and my all time city favourite Monseur Nicolas Anelka "39". We had absolutely no right signing him, world class.

Loved that old team. Wanchope was always exciting to watch, never knew what he'd do.

The team with berkovic and Bernarbia was class. Got the "back to the premiership" DVD.

I doubt it, having heard him speak.

Richard Dunne, he seemed to be there forever and was my favourite but hard to choose between him and Goater when the goat was fed!

Mick Channon when I was a kid. SWP more recently. I was a big fan of Quinn too but he's a Judas to me now.

For me Sun Jihai was an odd "everyman" to us not the most creative player ever (far from it) but did he work even Pep would have accepted his work ethic

Distin. I honestly believe if he were 28 now he'd be world class, with the lack of decent defenders around the game and him being far better suited to today's ball playing center halves than he was in the early 2000's.

David White. Pure pace, crossing ability and what a finisher until that England cap ruined him.
