I heard a rumour that during the Bernstein days they were being mooted as a sponsor for us - any truth in that?

He was their chief executive prior to us, so would have made sense. Plus they nearly went bump, so would have been perfect after the others we sent to the wall.

I think we should go for Birds Eye and have it just below the captain's armband.

Seriously, it sounds like a sponsor for the league who will get their logo on the shirts of some of the teams. Etihad should go for it to piss off Arsenal and the rags. Or maybe the City brand could get some exposure...
