Pity there struggling in the dutch second division otherwise on paper it makes a lot of sense. I would be surprised if any of them get a sniff near our first team but no shame in that.

Do any of these kids that go to continental second division clubs ever come back?

They can say what they want about the intentions of this partnership but I don't think this is about getting first team players for City.

I think it's more of a shop window for those who will not make it at City but as you say there is absolutely no shame doing well there and getting a decent transfer and career even if it's not with us

It seems only yesterday that really high hopes were held for Brandon Barker to be one of the youngsters who would break into the first team.

The fear for the young lad is that his ship has now sailed.

It has with us, without a shadow of doubt. Even Diaz who I believe is 16 or 17 is ahead of him in the pecking order. One hopes that when we move him on we get a half decent fee

He's not even done that well there. Ash Smith-Brown has but even so, nowhere near good enough for us. Think Manu Garcia is there now as well, had high hopes for him not too long ago. Hope we don't get a repeat scenario with the likes of Diaz and Sancho
