Quick Question re: Game Rearrangements

Postby Niall Quinns Discopants » Fri Mar 03, 2017 6:02 am

The official site has gone forward leaps and bounds in recent years considering the medieval state it was some years back. However it's still hard to figure out which kick off times are solid and which are still subject for possible change. This has never really bothered me since I've usually picked a game max few weeks in advance in "hey, I got some extra money... I'm booking me a game" fashion. I'm going to be travelling with my son for the first time as I promised him a game for his birthday and he was absolutely heart broken last time I was over on my own AND he has been dreaming about rhis for ages. Problem is I really need to book this in advance as he wants to know which game it's going to be and it needs to be around his birthday.

So his 6th birthday is 10th of april. I'm looking at Hull on 8th or West Bromwich 22th. Does anyone have any idea if the kick of times or more improtantly the dates for these set in stone or are they still subject for change to be on telly?
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

April 22nd will be moved if we win the Cup QF at Boro as that is Semi Final weekend. Hull looks more likely to be ok and it looks like the TV games are announced already...

Are you sure about TV games being announced already Jon? THE Hull game was the one I was looking for anyway since it's so close to my lads birthday. The wee feller is buzzing so much about this thhat I really don't want to mess this one up.

Does that mean though that the Hull game is subject for a change should we play in Champion's League? I'm confused.

Any supporter who has Cityzens membership or a season card gets automatic email updates on fixture changes ASAP . There have been loads this season due to TV coverage and now with CL progression and forthcoming FA cup QF / SF there is / will be loads more , they are even struggling for a date for the derby with so much fixture congestion .
Not really here

Oh, I get the emails as a member. It's the timeline that is a problem here. I need to book soon.

I generally look here to see which fixtures are firmed up.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/tea ... y/fixtures

If I see a lot of 3pm Saturday kick offs then I know they are still subject to TV meddling - or we've been completely dropped by the TV companies.

The FA Cup and CL schedules are here.

http://www.thefa.com/competitions/thefa ... ound-dates

http://www.uefa.com/uefachampionsleague ... ionformat/

It looks like you could catch a CL quarter final game on 11, 12, 18 or 19 April if we get past Monaco.

You're good for Hull City game on the 8th April, that will stay at 3pm ... and given it's during the school holidays and not on TV either, tickets will go quicker than others for this one.

And a good bet for us scoring a few goals against them ;)

Yep, Champs League is after it so will be unaffected. If we play Tuesday then a mov to Sunday or Monday would be impossible. The Spurs game is the one that could still be swapped (has the *).

or check if there's two seats close to each other like just few seats apart? I've done that few times as people are always willing to move one seat to the right/left when you just explain it to them. worth a look mate

I tried to but closest I could find was ten seats apart. Can't really have six year old, albeit very sensible one, sitting on his own mte.
