City Away Support

Just a mention for the travelling faithful yesterday. You were immense - all I could hear was the city fans all match - to outshout geordies is going some, so well done lads.
If you were there you should be proud - you were certainly loud!
I wish there was a way to know you are in the good old days....before you've actually left them...

To be fair the place has an air of impending doom about it and their fans seem to know they are going with barely a whimper. Very quiet from the home support.

Paul Merson said they were fantastic fans, always sold out etc etc etc. LOL - There were empty seats to start and busloads were leaving on 60 minutes.

As opposed to nasty old City who can't sell out a CL game (despite the fact Monaco WAS sold out)

There were huge swathes of empty seats on the top tier next to the away section.

You definitely should, a completely different experience, much more tribal. I recall being in the away end at Anfield ( going back a few years )and spent the whole game pissing myself laughing at the City fans ripping the piss out of the scousers, as usual we were beaten but it was one of the best experiences I've had watching City live.

Watched the game yesterday and you could hear our songs loud and clear . However, on MOTD it was almost silent in the ground.
I've always found the sound on that programme to be rather strange during the highlights as if it's some kind of stock soundtrack.
