Belgium have 2 games left to play and are 8 points clear of Bosnia in 2nd place, i think that even Vinnie knows he can't even think of playing in those games.

Fine to go along and offer his support to the squad but no way will he play in either those games imo

rumours this week that he's had a setback. hence why he's not been training. i doubt he'll play for BEL, though with him one can never be sure.

That's a strange one. I didn't think he was even in training at the mo, unless he's just going to show support.

He can support from them from Manchester, if he reports to Belgium and they agree he is unfit to play he should be on the next flight back to continue his rehab

Which would be odd too, given they've already qualified.

I'd be more inclined to test out a new player just in case Vinnie doesn't make it to the World Cup.

Pep..... "Kompany didn't make one training session with us for one month. He will meet with Belgium doctors and come back. He won’t play".

Tell You what:
apart a much reverred Buzzer's [my granddad beloved gift on my first visit to Maine Road experience] and a Kinky's, all my little collection of City official shirts have # 6 and Kompany name imprinted on the back.
cuz he's skipper and I always fancied footballers with some additional weigh amongst ears.

BUT, yet a very few more of this same and I'd walk and trade him even for Johnny the fucking rag Evan!!! on a loss too.

Vinnie still not ready: ‘The City captain suffered a calf injury playing for Belgium against Gibraltar in August and hasn’t played at Club level since the win at Bournemouth.

Guardiola has refused to put a timescale on his return’ from the OS. Really an unnecessary loss.

Sad to say but he's becoming a liability despite loving the fella. He'll get fit again and then we will all be on tenterhooks awaiting the next breakdown. I hope the club are planning ahead as if he will never return. Stones and Otter are becoming a good partnership although we obviously now need competent back-up that can be relied upon.

Such a pity as he's one of our most important players and such a legend.

But this can't go on and we'd be as well to replace him
