After that mazey run to set up the goal I'd have thought the pundits would give him more credit. Took 5 minutes for Hoddle to tell us that he deserved some praise.

Maybe cos he's the only one capable of creating in this team.

Penny is dropping that he's actually quite good.

What I was going to say. Defoe being heralded as the new wonder striker for what was in effect just a tap in. Great assist by Sterling. Would like him to get a goal or two now. Oh, and one from Stones as well. ;)

just got one on - 'now some really genuine pace' says Hen Noddle - no appreciation of Sterling - wasters the lot of them

I thought Walker had been credited with pace, but point taken.

Answer: Because there was nothing worth jerking off to.

I think that with with the number of Spurs players in the team it is only fair that Hoddle be the co-commentator and Wrighty and Lee Dixon be in the studio to say they 'could've done better'.

'Rashford's been brilliant since he's come on'

spot the adjectival error in this gem from GH

"What a good ball in from Rashford!" Pity it didn't land on Dier's head then. "What a brilliant player Rashford Rashford has been since he came on!" *wank wank wank* "Rashford Rashford Rashfrord's the best player in the land " *slow stroke" "Rashford Rashford Rasford Rashford should have been on from the start!" *Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh*

Oh no! "Rashford again!" "Rashford!"

So, England overcome the mighty Lithunsia 2-0 at Wemberley. I doubt the mighty Lithunasia wanted to go to Russia anyway.

At least we were spared the "ROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEYYYYYYYYYY! as the ball ballons out for a throw in.

I really don't understand the point of playing meaningless games against meaningful competition and winning meaningful games against meaningless competition and then going to a competition and losing meaningful games against meaningful competition. Why can't we just play and win meaningless games against meaningless competition? We could be world champions at that.

Maybe. But they'll have to wipe down the Perspex before they find he has no clothes and er, ...start the wanking again.

The Rashford love in is a bit weird isn't it? There is no doubt he is a good player but we really have no idea how good yet as he hasn't been playing much. he came on today and immediately made a dash past one player and then the next one without full control of the ball. I think he did something at pace again which the crowd liked and Hoddle loved but for about 10 minutes everything he did came to nothing as he either overran the ball or his final pass/cross was crap.

But for some reason he had made an impact and was super sub! He did after that make that excellent ball for Vardy to mess up but it seems to me that he flatters to deceive and just isn't the superstar they make him out to be..not yet anyway because there is a talent there.

Would have been interesting if after the stupid booking for the handball he would have been sent off for diving to try and win a penalty.

How many goals has he scored this season? I know he hasn't started that many but neither has another youngster we know of but he scores when he gets chances. Hasn't scored a prem goal since September has he? Why isn't he a regular for the scum if he is a superstar?

He's scored 2 in the premier league. I think he has been found out a bit as people now no him. It's great having pace but you need to do something with it.

How many players in that squad deserve their place after the seasons they have had, Vardy, the Ox, Rashford. Not exactly ripping up trees. Really surprised Rooney hasn't been involved. Why has Barkley been given a game, a player in form.

I used to love watching national teams but now I couldn't be less interested about these games. I did watch 15mins of the ROI v Wales though and it was good to see lot of passion from the fans

But now to the important thing about these games - did all our lads come back without knocks?
