Sane starts for Germany tonight. Was rather hoping he wouldn't play. No Stones is a surprise, but a welcome one.

WTF is Giggs doing in the ITV punditry team? Shouldn't he be out looking for a job or a sheep to shag on a fine night like tonight?

Completely forgot about this with all the happenings in London. Let's see how they do.

It's not like Vardy to try and con the ref into a penalty....

Southgate starts as he means to go on, a side stuffed with swampies and beaten to boot.

Can anyone explain to me why Jesse Lingard plays for England? What is he, what does he do? I know he can dance and dab? Would he play for any other country or any other top 6 club for that matter..?

So that he can big up Utd and ex Utd players. But wasn't he absolutely pathetic!

He would get a game for Scotland! He can run quickly but the real simple answer is that he plays for the scum and that's usually worth a few caps.

Same reason tom cleverly has got 13 caps and Matthew Le Tissier got 8.

Quite funny to hear him talk. It's as if he knows nothing of the world outside United. Which may explain why he still hasn't got a proper job.

I think with Lingard it's a player Southgate knows from the under 21's - same with Redmond being brought on in the second half - at least give Southgate a chance, if only for getting rid of R**ney as captain. It's early days and he might be just as establishment as Roy turned out to be, but there's still a small chance he's his own man.

Looking at the Irish team tonight, I'm not very optimistic.
I'd take a draw now.

Ouch! Red card offence or accidental?

Reckless and out of control. Definitely snapped his leg.

Hope he recovers to play again.

Edit: expect a ban for sterling.
