No Sterling on the young player list, had a great season. Sane didn't bother turning up until January.

They spend the whole season sucking Zlatan off and bashing aguero.

How do their stats compare??

Just looked there - Zlatan has 28 goals in 43 matches, Aguero has 28 goals in 38 matches. Carry on....

As for Sterling no being on the YPOTY

As this is the one the player's nominate I am surprised to see Sane in there as a lot of this is based on early season form

"Sergio Aguero has scored at a quicker rate than two of this year’s nominees – Zlatan Ibrahimovic (143 minutes) and Alexis Sanchez (141 minutes).
The Argentine forward has found the net 16 times in the Premier League, at a rate of one goal every 123 minutes.
Despite winning the Premier League title twice, being the top scorer in 2014-15 and hitting 118 goals in 175 appearances since signing in 2011, he has never won this award.
As of early March, Aguero had scored 36 more Premier League goals than any player since he scored his first. Why is he so unheralded?"

Kante is the deserved winner. He added so much steel to that side and the fucker turns up everywhere on the pitch. If/when they go on to win the title, it's no coincidence that guy was in the the man in the middle for the last two title winners.

Absolute farce. It's an award that only goes to players from certain clubs.

No Kun, no Merlin, No Sterling, No KDB.

Why do they nominate those in mid-April again?

Makes no sense at all mate.

I remember a couple of years back, Aguero wasn't even nominated and I think another striker won it. When it was voted for, Aguero was neck and neck with him, but by the end of the season he'd scored about 8 goals more.

Fucking farcical.

Let's not forget Steven Gerrard finishing ahead of Yaya the season that Yaya had scored 26 goals

This is what puzzles me ,
I have heard on more than one occasion by defenders
That the player they most hate / fear playing against is Sergio So why the Snub

And nearly every player who has played with Silva has said he's the best they've ever played with.

Remember Ryan Giggs won it and he only played 12 full games that season?
That's another belter right there.

Didn't expect Silva to make the list, he has been one of best in league every season since joined and 1 player of month award.

How has Sterling not made the young player of the year listing? Still considering Walker won it ahead of Aguero in 2012 I shouldn't be surprised

Does any City fan really care, knowing what we know of the history of these awards.

They're meaningless to us.

There is loads of tactical voting that goes on where players in certain teams are told not to vote for others. John Terry spoke about this. These awards are worthless in my eyes. The voting is far to early and clearly rigged. I think only Kompany has won one of these awards and that was the football writers and that in itself is a travesty when you think of certain players performances over the last few years. Yaya drove us to a title along with Dzeko but neither got a sniff, Sergio in his first season scoring all them goals and gets beaten to the award by a right back. Do me a favour, scoring goals is the hardest thing to do.

Lets be honest aguero didnt deserve to be on any list even if he is scoring at a better rate than anyone.

Sterling should have got nominated for young player esp over sane who has only started playing since jan.
derby day the scores were level,
then the goat was fed by neville,
silly boy should know for sure,
feed the goat and he will score!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't get why zlatan deserves to be on the list and you're saying aguero doesn't.

All they do is put the ball in the back of the net and occupy space around the box.

And he's better at that.

Raheem should have made the young players short list and Silva the regular one.
