Well that was a shit season.

Finished like we started so promising signs

Strange that the appalling decisions seemed to dry up after we were way out of contention.

They way we've played the past month or so you can see why that could very well be the case.

I'm usually found in the OT section if anything interesting is going on.

In here can get strange off season. Not as strange as Bluemoon, but manic all the same.

Yeah we've looked very good the last few weeks. The return of Kompany really steadied the ship again, incredible player and leader we really missed him.

Good result, and well deserved, for us there.

Now just a victory for the scum removers on Wednesday and it'll have been a more than OK season.

Good game, we played some nice football, especially in the first half.5-0 flattered them. I think we could have scored 8,9, without the changes (being greedy I know).I was willing Navas to beat first man, and find a City player with a cross when he came on, alas it was not to be. ;)

No pre season qualifier either, players get a decent break, hopefully onwards and upwards next season.

All we need now is for the RAGS to fuck up next week. Will have been a good few days . :D

I think we are going to be a force to reckon with next season after we strengthen in the areas of need.

In the Premier League:

Sterling-
Unsuccessful Touches (Per Game): 1.8
Dispossessed (Per Game): 2.6

Sanè-
Unsuccessful Touches (Per Game): 2.1
Dispossessed (Per Game): 1.7

KDB-

Silva-
Unsuccessful Touches (Per Game): 1.1
Dispossessed (Per Game): 1.6

Aguero-
Unsuccessful Touches (Per Game): 2.5
Dispossessed (Per Game): 2.2

Thought I'd throw this one in as a lot of people moan about Kolarov giving the ball away-

Alex-
Unsuccessful Touches (Per Game): 0.6
Dispossessed (Per Game): 0.2

Sergio is the worst at giving the ball away out of the lot.

Let's drop our leading scorer for a bottler

Pep seems to have got it right today

Pep only takes 12 months to realise... Dough !

1) drop bravo
2) play Vinnie when he's fit
3) keep a successful/ winning team unchanged

Only an idiot would suggest that.

If Sterling is a 'bottler' though and he's our second top scorer and second highest with the assists what does that say about the rest of them?

Nothing. The fact is that time and again Sterling finds himself in positions where he should be scoring goals or making assists and to be fair to him in the first half of the season he did that. I'm just worried that that spell was the exception rather than the norm as either side of that period he seems to get near the oppo's box and then shits himself. Sorry if you disagree but I'm just going off what I see week in week out

You need to know how often they get the ball for those stats to have meaning.
For ex, Alex does not get the ball as often as Silva.

Also, the position they play affects the figures.
Alex gets the ball from the GK and is under no pressure
Kun gets the ball with defenders breathing down his neck.

You can prove anything with stats. It is what you see that is more important.

I was taking the piss including him mate. But you bit underlined is a joke, no? I'd say the fullbacks are put under massive pressure when they receive the ball from the keeper, especially this season.

We're all here to debate mate :)

I just think Sterling gets a lot of unnecessary stick from our fans when, if you look at the stats, he's doing well for a 22 year old.

Just nicked this off the BBC

Lil' old Citeh become the PL team with the current longest consecutive seasons in the CL. Small victories an' all.

Never realised that, probably because I've never thought about it, but it certainly shows how far we've come.

Crikey, if I'd been asked that, without thinking I'd have probably opted for Arsenal.

It's a funny old world.
