Alternatively, it frees up officers who would have had to police a vanity event to reassure the public elsewhere.

To be fair, I think Chelsea cancelled more out of respect for the victims. Although security must have been a major concern.
Some big events coming up in the UK, FA Cup Final, Champions League Final, Rugby. We can only hope, and pray, they pass off peacefully
