i love that new scientific unit of measurement - the Pogba. It takes away those mindboggling muti-millions that we just struggle to cope with getting our heads around these days.

Cheers buddy. I'm VERY excited by his signing.

Love this.

When Bernando goes, we need to replace him with a player called Silva.

Keep the Silva name alive.

It seems to be social media claims by apparently credible sources. It's been picked up by a couple of City related blogging sites and some of the online versions of various newspapers but they seem to be reporting on the social media claims.

Manchester Evening News were the first to report it as far as I can make out, as with any breaking news these days they reported it through Twitter first.

Check out sky protecting the rags from a snub story:

Monaco midfielder Bernardo Silva will sign a five-year deal at Manchester City on Friday afternoon, Sky sources understand.

Manchester United had been interested in the 22-year-old earlier this year, according to national newspaper reports, though Antoine Griezmann is the No 1 target at Old Trafford this summer.

Bernardo Silva, who has been likened to David Silva, already has 12 caps for Portugal's senior side and has helped steer Monaco to the Ligue 1 title this season, scoring eight goals in his 36 French top-flight appearances.

It sometimes pays to be cautious. If you like certainty I think you should wait for the OS announcement before celebrating - hope it doesn't take two months like Gundogan.

I have to say I'm a bit sad for Monaco that they appear to be being dismantled after one very good season. Maybe that's their business model though.

Usual story selling Club figure is higher than the buying Club. Add ons etc. Who cares it's a firm announcement on the BBC so Club sources are standing it up. He may not get officially unveiled with pics etc until July 1 when he's officially registered as a City player but it's a done deal.

They cannot afford to not sell this summer. Although they will probably hold on to Mbappe, Lemar, Falcao, Sidibe, Jemerson, and Glik. Thats a good chunk of their squad and then add in Tielemans. If they can keep Bakayoko too that will be a big boost.

Tielemans snubbed the rags so did Bernardo Silva.
