I'll bow to your expertise, knowledge and experience in such matters FIBD.

I must say that the one on the extreme right, shielding her eyes from the sun, looks as though she'd leave you in severely debilitated condition if you tried to "stay in shape" with her. :? :?

Many of the Confed Cup players are already in training back with their clubs and Bernardo should be with his new team mates by now I reckon. He's got a lot of serious 'acclimating' to do (as our US friends would put it.)

So many of the threads on here are negative and depressing right now so how about a celebratory one?
How good has Bernardo been in 2018? Hes quickly becoming my favorite City player. Outstanding signing

100% agree. His touch (especially bringing down balls out of the air) is as good as it gets. As the season has gone on, he's gotten much smarter in his play and adapted very well the playing in England. And I never knew he had such a good shot - at the moment he's one of the best strikers of the ball in the team.

I think he is vastly underrated, especially given his age. Has one of the biggest ceilings of any young talent in our team.

Totally agree. He was the man of the first half for me, but faded/got knackered after the tea break. He's been really good, and I think we would still be in the CL if he had started instead of Gunghogan at Anfield.

He was the perfect player for that Anfield game. I understand not starting Sterling as he has underperformed there since he joined us.

But Bernardo keeps possession so well and would have been a constant threat down the right.

He’s a fantastic player who has a bright future with us.

They don't call him Bubblegum for nothing.

Some of the best ball control I ever saw in a City's shirt.

Still see him as Silva’s long term replacement. Has also played in the most games for us as well this season. Showing good adaptability and stamina.

I like him. A lot

Good man Bernie, nice touches and silky football and all of that, its great stuff altogether.

Sadly the reality is....after what we saw last night it's not silk we need, its a bit of steel.

Bernardo doesn’t yet have David’s awareness of what is around him or his weight of pass but he could eventually make a good replacement for Silva, if it’s possible to replace him.

Starting next year I think we are going to see Silva needing rotation a lot more.

Fernandinho will definitely need a replacement but I don’t think we have one in our ranks.
Maybe Fred?
Haven’t seen enough of him to really have an opinion on whether he’d be adequate or not.

Agree with most written above. He should have started at Anfield.

He's going to need an outside trick though. You just know he wants to get on that left.

Excellent player who is massively underrated due to the abundance of class we have around him at the moment.

Come the end of Tuesday's match, Bernardo's performance was the only bright spot for me.
And I've always considered him a bit lightweight, but he certainly proved me wrong.
