If we paid 81 mil for a replacement for Navas how much are we going to pay for someone who is a starter?

Apparently a huge battle over Mendy. Have to see how that goes but we're clearly interested.

Absolutely loved his first game against us - none of our players could get the ball off him. Is he 'just' a winger or can he play centrally? I know so little about him.

Jumping the gun a little bit eh?

Thats alot of money to be spent on not exactly a position of need.
Now Monaco's Tielemans signing makes sense.

Mendy, Fabinho, and Silva? Jesus. Lets not put all our eggs in Monaco's basket.

In the Guardian now too:

Looks perfect for our style of play and only 22 years old! Exciting times!

Anyone going to answer the questions of what position he plays?

Sort of winger, think Nasri and Silva position in Pellegrini's first year, winger but tucked in. That's where he's played this season for Monaco when I've seen them. Guessing he can play wide or central, have read that he started out at left back.

Looked to me (based on one match) like he could handle playing centrally in a (Dave) Silva role, but I know next to nothing about him, and he was apparently playing wide right in that first match against us.

for Monaco he usually played wide right and then drifted in

bloody hell:

Silva
Sane
Sterling
Ilkay
Fern
Bernardo
Yaya (?)
new DM
KDB
Roberts (?)

thats one packed midfield. Pep did say he loves midfielders.

From the sound of it we'll get Mendy & Silva for a little under 1.2 Pogbas
