Yaya signs up for another year. Predictable but welcome.

Very happy with that. Was getting worried that he'd follow Bobby Manc to Zenit. But he's sticking with the club he loves!
Great last season and I pity the fool who writes Yaya off this year

It seemed to me that his signing up for another year warranted a new thread.

I agree. New signing new thread!
Besides I think we've finally worked out what he does
Mind you, there's still time to edit it to a more imaginative title

And all without any fuss or his agent sticking his beak in. A refreshing change.
So that's two new signings and an important contract renewal before any of our rivals have done any business. Sweet.

Great news.
Let's us give him a proper goodbye and he fully deserves it after his performance this season.

I don't think he would of signed another contract tbh if he wasn't given some kind of assurances he would get
"big
Game " time . Why waste your last big chance of out of this world money , for a pay cut to sit on our bench .
I just sit back and think of all the great times he has give us Fookin Awesome . Glad he will be here next season

Maybe he's convinced that City's plan is s good 'un and next year could be special and he'd like to go out on a high.
Having seen the send off Zabba got, it may be the love he's craved all this time.
Maybe the penny has dropped that that kind of love is earned not demanded.
If we got one more special year out of him we could be in for a treat.

I approve this message.

And just maybe he isn't leaving after his playing career is over.
