He plays on the wing.

He can play as a striker. Had a look at his record on Transfermarkt and they have down as 41 games at centre forward overall in his career to date, 30 goals and 13 assists, not to be sniffed at.

It was a good question, winger or not. A Sterling question might almost say. Here are the facts (assuming the data is correct):

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/pre ... op-scorers

Could it be about the way Arsenal like to overplay and walk the ball into the net?

That's a fairer question based on this season.

Sanchez has contributed 19% of Arsenal’s league goals.

Sterling has contributed 21% of City's.

Back to the Aguero/Sanchez comparison, there's fuck all between them, different type of players but the quality levels much the same imo.

I just don’t see it happening in Jan . I would like it to but I don’t want us bent over for a stupid amount that could be put to better use elsewhere . An should I don’t see Le Arse letting him go for 20 mil or less getting in The Chumps League is worth more to them than that

I read, somewhere or other, that Whinger is now 'prepared' to let Sanchez go in January, but only for offers in excess of £35 million.

That’s what I was getting at 35 mill could go towards a top top Center half in the summer . When Alexis is free ? Or 1/2 of a Vigil lol

We've been over this 1000 times it seems and no one seems to be convinced of changing their stance.

Tough call about whether we sign him now or not.

We need defensive cover and arguably CM cover more than him right now, and it could disrupt the rotation of our front players now, yet Kun and Jesus are also not scoring enough right now.

However, he could also be the X factor for CL this season, in particular, and we may have our best chance to win it this season as some of the best teams are in transitional periods and we are playing so well.

Will be better for him financially if he stays the season as he would net more of the transfer fee, I gather, but maybe he's had enough after what happened when he first scored in their last game.

Not sure how much more we'd save, other than adding to the wage bill, as I wonder how much of the fee difference goes into his pocket (so goes what I've heard about so-called "free" transfers ending up including HUGE signing bonuses)

Terrible judgment from Arsenal but great business to get him either cheap in January or free in the summer. He’ll be a great asset to us.

I'm with you on this pal.

VVD cost $75m and has had a pretty poor/inconsistent season for similar reasons I believe Sanchez has had as well.

Yes, Alexis much older, but he would still cost £80+m in this market.

^£75m

He is coming back from a long time injured though. Don't know how good he'll be in the dipper team. Time will tell I guess.

Summer will be fine, not like we don't have any other players who can play upfront/score goals. I really don't want us to give Arsenal one penny for him, it will make his signing even sweeter
